Alternative definition of #Capitalism:
The #state sanctioned #embezzlement from our progeny of the natural resources presently entrusted to us.
Think about it. The #Econ 101 definition of #profit can be summarized by unit of production as the amount the public is willing to #pay, less the #expense of production. Simple, right?
Wrong.
Because "production" always produces things (called negative externalities) that impact the purchasing #public long after production, that simply don't get counted as an expense of production. #Heat. #CO2. #Refuse. #Toxins. #Depression. Etc. You will never see these expenses of production on the product label, because those things, are the "profit" we ALLOW the capitalists to pocket.
Now, in the past, we thought this was ok because we didn't understand the #relationship between the capitalist "economy" and the law of #conservation of #energy. We failed to understand we're working within a closed system. Any physicist worth a shit sees the #insanity of this system today.
