We argue that the #ecomodernist approaches, rather than transformative, are reactionary appropriations and co-optations of critical elements and desire for #radical change. They do not challenge the hegemony—they are the hegemony (hence, hegemony reinforcing) (4/9).

Somehow some of the responses to the #EcoModernist manifesto are worse than the manifesto itself.

The response to "Let's sacrifice the global south so we can do capitalism and colonialism ad infinitum while irradiating the planet, it will solve poverty somehow, just trust us" should not be "You forgot to talk about population growth."
