Theia annoyance: Window size/position seems to be stored per workspace (but not in the workspace file), rather than for the app. When you open a folder with it, you get a small window in the middle of the screen.
The theme support doesn't seem quite 1:1 with VS Code; my favourite (Sunburst) should have a black background for editors, but it's using the grey background as the rest of the app.

@emd I found one that seems to be having problems; Todo Tree by Gruntfuggly (wow, that's a choice for alias) can't seem to find ripgrep, even after I set todotree.ripgrp to its location, per the pop-up notification.
Not sure if this is limited to Todo Tree or if other things using ripgrep will have trouble.

Trying out Theia IDE. I'm mostly creating scripts, writing some Ansible, Terraform and PowerShell. And lately some Ruby. So I'm not a heavy duty developer. But the few days I've tried Theia it works fine. It is very similar to VSCode since it uses the Monaco Code Editor.
I like that it is developed by Eclipse Foundation. They've been around for a long time. Theia could very well be the way out of VSCode for me.
