Here's one of the new artworks: Dromaeosaurus and a juvenile Chasmosaurus. This was a fun reconstruction to execute as Dromaeosaurus is not a "typical" dromaeosaur. The final result is a little creepy, too, which seems apt for today.

A #Microraptor investigates some strange colourful plants - the first #flowers she’s ever seen.

This started out as an idea to do a piece on #angiosperm evolution, but that turned out to be a way deeper and more contentious issue than I thought. Molecular evidence says they go way back to the Devonian! So these #lingyuananthus flowers are only new to this Microraptor because they were still fairly rare, not because they were truly new.
