A client just commented that the black text on the white background in their brochure was "difficult to read." I honestly am speechless. #DesignerProblems #IsItFridayYet

if people walked around the theater during tech rehearsal waving a floodlight, the lighting designer would throw a fit. nobody does this because it’s clearly obvious they should not.
and yet nothing seems to stop them from talking as loudly as they please at any time.

I don't want to name my layers. I don't want to name my design systems. I don't want to struggle to decide my professional title or labels. I just want to focus on people.

As we wait for the PDF to finish let us ponder the sights and wonders we've seen on our journey...
There was that one image we couldn't find and relink at all. Followed by six more of the same. All the fonts that wouldn't load! And who could forget the first time we tried PDFing that crashed? Ah... The memories.
Hopefully we arrive where we're going and come out as better people for it. Now I would like you all to bow your heads. Let us pray...

#Indesign files that are 50-100 pages long and involve 20gigs or so of high res images are a lot to handle sometimes. Am I missing any tips on getting these to run faster? (Preferably without just changing the display to "Fast quality".) #DesignerProblems
I mean I could link the images and then move/delete them temporarily to just use the image previews but that's not ideal for softcopy checking the PDFs...
