  11. For 20 years now, I have been fighting against #CommonNonsense in work & organizations. It all started with the insight that budgeting and org planning are corporate snake oil, really.
Stunningly, the pile of organizational BS has not been decreasing, since back then - it got even bigger!

  16. I find it hard to respect people who do not recognize even the most blatant, pompous nonsense.
Like #cynefin. But that's just one silly example.

  21. Hello everyone.
From the great Roland Deiser we get this wonderful distinction between:
    - #CommonSense
    - #CommonNonsense and
    - #UncommonSense

The #BetaCodex likely belongs to the third, the #UncommonSense category. Which is neither good nor bad, it's just a fact.

The 1st category, #commonsense, is slgihtly problematic, if you think about it, because the "new" is never to be found there. So in times of change, you cannot rely on it. It does not give you new answers.

Worse still: The 2nd category, in which so many concepts, theories, tools and beliefs reside. They are the real problem. And of course, over time, #CommonSense degenerates into #CommonNonsense. As Peter #Drucker put it: "“Today’s certainties always become tomorrow’s absurdities.”

What does this post make you think of?
I am looking forward to your comments and contemplations!
