Guten Morgen (or good morning😊) #fediverse! Heute mal wieder ein Foto, welches gleich zu 2 hashtags passt, nämlich sowohl zum #makromittwoch als auch zum kommenden #insektensamstag.
Der Moschusbock (Aromia moschata)
Dieser nach Moschus „duftende“ Bockkäfer ist der einzige Repräsentant der Gattung Aromia in Europa. Als typischer Vertreter der #Bockkäfer ist der #Moschusbock an der gestreckten Körperform (Länge 20-35 Millimeter) und den langen Fühlern gut zu erkennen. Die Körperfarbe variiert von hellgrün bis nahezu schwarz und weist einen typischen metallischen Glanz auf. Charakteristisch ist der #Moschusgeruch, den die Tiere über ein Sekret aus den Hinterbrustdrüsen absondern können.

The musk beetle (Aromia moschata)
This musk-scented longhorned beetle is the only specimen of the genus Aromia in Europe. As a typical representative of the #buck #beetles, the #muskbeetle can be easily recognized by its elongated body shape (length 20-35 millimetres) and long antennae. The body color varies from light green to almost black and has a typical metallic sheen. A characteristic feature is the #musky #odor, which the animals can excrete via a secretion from the rear mammary glands. -
Six-banded Longhorn Beetle
(Dryobius sexnotatus)This rare longhorn beetle lives in old hardwood forests, usually in large, very old and decaying trees with scarred and cracked bark.
Its sparse and widely scattered populations in the eastern U.S. have been declining sharply for years, and it is listed as threatened in some states.
