One fun recurring thing at #Blissfest is the "Mug Library." These folks are not officially affiliated with the festival or anything. They setup a wall of mugs hanging from nets. You can grab one, fill up with free coffee that runs on donations, and simply return the mug (into a tote, not the net) when you're done.
At night time, the netting gets lit up all pretty, and you know what happens then. That's right, lights in the woods at night attract moths! Here's a picture of @SillyLily and @xYourEmoGFx coming across a moth that has been caught in the net of lights.
In case you are wondering, there were indeed many instances of folks going "Follow the unicorn!" or "Everyone! Follow that rainbow penis! It's the only way we'll make it back to camp!" and variants thereof.
I can neither confirm nor deny whether they made it to the destination they wanted or through a portal to the feywilds.

While I definitely used different ties for load bearing wraps, I did sprinkle various decorative knots around camp. Especially with glow-in-the-dark paracord, as this has been pretty good at helping folks avoid running face first into trees when it's dark.
Definitely not my tidiest work, but for a hasty one I think it was acceptable. I did do a properly tidy hashira anchor at some point but I think I forgot to actually take a picture of it :neofox_facepalm:
And my various ties around camp _did_ get noticed. Yes, I have anecdotes in the queue somewhere.

Pretty close to the "entrance" to our camp at #Blissfest2026, there was a tree stump that we decorated as a temporary surface. And took care to protect the moss from stray footsteps. The moss was not alone though.
This fungus is colloquially known as "Dead Man's Fingers" and the scientific name is _Xylaria polymorpha_. It's a saprotrophic fungus that often grows on dead or dying wood. They are not edible, so I recommend you do _not_ put these digits in your mouth if you feel the urge.
Some species are associated with black root rot in certain trees (like apple, pear, elm, etc), but mostly they are essential decomposers.

Another small anecdote from #Blissfest2026 and volunteering with kiddos. One of the popular crafting activities was "flower crowns." I believe there was a workshop earlier on day 1 with the older kids, so it was a theme.
During Day 2, we narrowly avoided the pipe-cleaner-apocalypse. This is where we would be running out of pipe cleaners because they were being used by kids to make the base of the crown. I had managed to find some crafting wire that was an adequate substitute. Both thin and thick ones. The thin ones I braided to make it usable as a base, but this took a while. The kids who got those special pieces absolutely loved them though.
The thicker wire needed pliers to clip and join, but a single strand was sufficient. We did some pre-making of different sizes so kids could basically grab one that fit and start adding things to decorate.
I noticed one kiddo that was trying on different sizes, but this one had type 4 hair and was kinda disappointed with a solid ring that wouldn't sit right on springy curls. At least, not without crushing the curls. Kinda like when a hairband or hat ruins your hair. Fellow curlies know what I'm talking about. Especially if you have a tendency to fro.
I gently popped in to compliment the hair, and note how it's even curlier than mine, and what I would do to make a crown sit better without ruining the hair. Then I got to show them how to use zig-zagging and coiled versions of the metal band that would move with the curls instead of against them. And how the added flexibility is nice for fine tuning. It was clear she hadn't had a metal one that just simply worked before. The delight that beamed from this kiddo brought me a lot of joy. 🥹
That is the story. #DiversityIsImportant

There are always so many beautiful elements of nature one gets to experience when camping in northern Michigan. Here is a Small-Eyed Sphinx chilling out at #Blissfest2026
It was pretty warm and humid, so this one got the perfect opportunity to cool off with @AstralFox

At #Blissfest this year, both my volunteer shifts went to the Kids area. We set up various arts and crafts for them to do. It lets them exercise some creativity, and sometimes we can sneak in useful skill learning. It's very freeform though.
One of the activities ended up being a variant of "worry dolls" (Muñecas quitapenas). This is a doll that one can whisper their worries to and the doll will let them be free of the worries overnight.
Practically, it is basically a confidant, and some of these kiddos had strong opinions on what makes such an entity trustworthy. Kids at this festival are feral to an extent (absolutely delightful).
Here's one of many examples of their interesting creations.

After getting home from #Blissfest this year, my hair was ridiculous. Here's the full #FitCheck for the "teardown camp and haul things back home" day. It involves extra manual labor in the sweltering humid heat and also wading through grass sometimes (yes, I tuck my pants into my socks for that).
I wore something similar on the "loading into camp" day, and while I was there, I only wore pants twice. It was when volunteering to do arts and crafts in the kids area. There is often paint and glue, and stuff like that involved. I'll post some of the fits at some point once I figure out if I actually took pictures of them, and whether I like them or not.

#Blissfest was a fun experience this weekend. I still have pics I haven't posted from #Blissfest2025 but I'm going to try and at least get some posted soon for #Blissfest2026
It was humid as heck. And it was quite warm; both in terms of how welcoming and accepting the people are, and also the air temperature. There were multiple times where I was just glistening with sweat and doing something with ropecord, trees, or dancing. I'll spare you any pictures of that state, and instead offer this picture of my hair after I got home (only a day since the last wash at the campground).
I'm looking forward to journaling the various experiences which will likely end up making it into some posts. I have some simple stories such as one to convey the joy of stargazing on a clear night with a new moon, and ensnaring passers-by into catching some surprise meteors. And more involved ones such as the complexity of dealing with an individual that got argumentative after asking whether it was okay to use "dude" in a camp full of trans folks.

Another potential example of #NonBinaryFashion: The state of me after unloading the car after #Blissfest2025
It's definitely #Tomboy chic but the outfit is really just geared for utility. Literally the grungy fit used on the day with all the cleanup and lifting things around, etc. I'm not sure if that's even practical in a dress or skirt.
My hips slant high so I usually go for hi-rise pants, but I think these look pretty good given they don't fit that criteria. I like that it hugs the curve of my hip I think. Makes it feel more secure compared to other mid or low rise pants that can't balance length and width for my type of body.
While I had sneakers on for this specific instance. I definitely intend to make use of these pants with some chunky [black boots](https://lgbtqia.space/@h3mmy/114826497886135932) and a black crop of some sort. It'll be a vibe!
This was a few hours after this picture and documents the same outfit minus the fanny pack: https://lgbtqia.space/@h3mmy/114874870591139908

@Addmen Same! I tied mine to my UV flashlight at #Blissfest and have a backup set of alpine partyplug pros in my "ear kit" if the loops aren't enough.

Last weekend at #Blissfest some of my pupation growths seemed to sporulate and implant several other entities in and around the forest. One such entity was @lucidmachine whom we dubbed "Major Hotmadod".
For additional context, our camp name was "Camp Hotmadod" because we like snails, hedgehogs, armadillos, etc.
Pictured here is Major Hotmadod doing his best to contain the sheer energy wanting to burst from his ~~lips~~ system.

Another #FitCheck from the day after #Blissfest2025 where the carabiner on the cargo pants really helps push the lesbian hiker vibe.
We had all finished packing up and we're getting lunch at a nearby place that specializes in Polish food with an excellent view of the lake.
Some of you have gotten to see the uncensored version. My eyes are a bit tired from the sheer lack of sleep but I'm running on pure joy at this point (and a delicious sandwich too)
I cropped out some people just in case. They can tag themselves or nudge me to post an uncropped version.

While I didn't get pictures of all my different fits for the weekend, I did manage to get a couple. This one was my early afternoon fit for Sunday. Later, the top changed, fishnets were added alongside strategically placed bondage tape and then I went through the rest of the evening adjusting/changing one piece of the outfit at a time making it a different outfit per space-time container.

Do you know what happens when you squawk your chicken without permission?

I've been offline for a few days, but I'm sort of back. I probably won't be on as much until next week after I recoup.
#Blissfest2025 was fun. Saturday rains added a lot of extra work around camp and did end up preventing me from seeing as many performances but I made the most of what I could. I'll post summaries and reflections over the coming days. And of course, any outfits I actually managed to get pictures of.
