People sometimes think of a #kink dynamic only in terms of power exchange. It's more like a trust exchange. One party may choose to trust another to provide safety, tranquility, comfort, etc. That gift of trust is what is infused with power. The offering should be made with an appropriate expression of limits and bounds. The entity to which the offer is made is often, but not always a practitioner of the arts. They etch and line the boundaries, ideally capturing the intent of the supplicant. Once sealed, the ritual begins, and can manifest in many forms.

Within the circle, there is safety, accompanied by an outpouring of vulnerability, droplets of which harbor the essence of the devotee. These are cared for and woven into the ritual. The threads can undo a person altogether as the essence is drawn out into the aether. A mind set free to wander the void, leaving the consciousness intact within its vessel. It's a vulnerable state, and it leaves the beings highly suggestible, sometimes devoid of purpose, and easily put to good use.

As promised, the recipe that I've tested out. Making it gluten free required only two tweaks: dropping the malt, and substituting the flour. E.Z.

## Ingredients

- 1 Tbsp finely ground espresso (not instant espresso) or finely ground coffee
- ½ cup/115 grams cold unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 2 cups/255 grams all-purpose flour (gluten-free optional)
- 2 Tbsps malted milk powder (e.g. Carnation brand) or substitute for regular milk powder to make gluten free
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- ⅛ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp finely ground black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup/165 grams light brown sugar
- 2 tsps vanilla extract or paste
- ¼ cup/50 grams granulated sugar (for rolling)
- ½ cup/50 grams confectioners’ sugar, sifted (for rolling)

Bonus Notes:

- I suggest substituting some of the "light brown sugar" for shakkar if it's available to you. Jaggery will also work. I did about 40g.
- You can simply do the rest as dark brown sugar if you want. It holds more moisture than light brown sugar because of the increased molasses.
- I also like reducing overall sugar, and was able to remove 30g of sugar without any net moisture loss.

## Preparation

When I say "medium-high" it will vary by stove. I have a gas stove and I consider this to be a 3-5 if I'm using stainless steel, and 2-4 if using cast iron (depending on how long I've preheated it)

### Step 1

- Put **ground espresso/coffee** in a small metal/pyrex bowl.
- Put **butter** in a small saucepan, and cook over medium-high heat, swirling and stirring occasionally with a rubber spatula, until nutty brown, 5ish minutes. The margin of error between browning butter and burning it is slim, so be careful.
- Add the **browned butter** to the bowl with the **espresso** and stir to combine.
- Set aside to cool, stirring occasionally, while you prepare the rest of the cookie.

### Step 2

Combine the dry ingredients:

- flour
- malted milk powder
- baking powder
- ginger
- cinnamon
- cardamom
- cloves
- salt and pepper

These go into in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine thoroughly and set aside.

### Step 3

- Combine **eggs** and **light brown sugar** (or equivalent) in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.
- Beat on medium speed until well combined and slightly paler, about 3 minutes, scraping bowl as needed.

### Step 4

- Add the **vanilla** and the **butter mixture**, then mix on low speed until combined.
- Add the **dry ingredients** (flour mixture), then mix again on low until combined.
- Transfer dough to a resealable glass or plastic container, and chill thoroughly, at least 2 hours and up to 3 days.

### Step 5

- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Put **granulated sugar** and **confectioners’ sugar** into two separate bowls.
- Use a small cookie scoop to portion dough into heaping tablespoons (about 25 grams each).
- Roll into smooth balls and drop a few at a time into the bowl of **granulated sugar**, rolling to coat.
- Transfer to the bowl with the **confectioners’ sugar**. Roll gently, coating well, then transfer to a parchment- or silicone mat-lined baking sheet, leaving at least 2 inches between cookies.
- Place in freezer until firm, about 10 minutes.

### Step 6

- Bake until cookies are golden underneath but still quite tender (they will firm up as they cool), 12 to 15 minutes.
- Let cool a few minutes on the baking sheets and transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Cookies will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week.

Sometimes I end up working extra late and just want some quick supper. This is one of my reliable quick recipes. Honey roasted Feta with some sort of bread thing. Yes, literally a block of cheese for supper #GirlDinner

I tend to stay gluten free due to a partner that has an allergy. She requested that I make the bread part softer if possible. Actual dialogue afterwards:

> "I'm pretty good at making things go soft sometimes"
> "A being of many talents" (muffled by the bread and giggles)

How does one make prepackaged bread soft?

- Get it wet
- Heat it up
- Add some oil/fat/slippery stuff
- Flip it
- Heat it
- Spread out the oils and add more if needed
- Flip it again
- Spread the fluids some more
- Heat it
- Eat it, appreciating the softness of the flesh, savoring the texture on your lips and flavor on your tongue.

For folks that want some extra clarity:

Moisture helps introduce softness. But not too much. I basically patted it down with water. Heating it a bit allows the water to absorb a bit faster and just sort of kick starts the whole thing. If using a fat like butter or ghee, they're easier to apply on a warmed up bread than a cool and clammy one.

If using dough it's a bit different, but you'd still be adding moisture and fats. Fats to help control how much structure is formed (it lowers gluten production if using a gluteny dough) and a moisture ratio to help determine flakiness.

It gets quite a bit more complicated than that, but it's one of the first things I learned as a child when fascinated by my aunties and grandma turning basically powder into a dough ball that we could then eat after running through fire. Earth, water, air and fire are all used at different stages in the ritual of bread making.

Sometime recently, @lucidmachine wandered into my parlor. We got some pictures and video clips of him getting a small sample platter of different sorts of play.

Although being in a parlor means we didn't get as many shareable shots as a dungeon, I still have several options. These have been added to my ever growing backlog.

Pictured here are vampire gloves, which have little sharp spikes on the inside. The power play is delightful, but not for everyone. The outside is smooth so sensory touches followed by grabs, or menacing light scratches make a pretty simple and exciting palette.

The scene bottom is free to struggle if they want, as long as they are willing to suffer the consequences of making sudden moves with a bunch of tiny teeth that are partially embedded across a hand sized area.

I got this wand in early January 2023. The BMS PalmPower Extreme. Good range from rumbly lows to buzzy highs without being too buzzy. One of the perks is also incremental speed control. Being able to precisely tune the speed is great.

Reportedly the power rivals the Magic Wand Rechargeable. I would be able to test that first hand instead of second hand except that logistics get in the way.

While my masturbation habits are not really the subject here, the relevant part is that they are embarrassingly infrequent. I like to share resources when feasible, and this is no different.

A partner reported that it died for them during use and they plugged it in. They quickly added that it was not comparable to my experiences of wand power death because they were on round 4 and were content. That reminded me that I'd been meaning to expand my wand collection for exactly that reason. The expansion won't get to me until sometime next week though.

Some time later, I check up on it to put it away. I have a habit of doing a quick motor check and using the travel lock to ensure it doesn't accidentally go off when not in use. No lights, nothing. Plugged in wrong? The charging light turned off super quickly, but it wouldn't charge. It would vibrate a couple of times to indicate dead battery and then stay off.

It's done this before, and it's because it needs to charge via a low amp outlet. So I do that. It charges! :neobread: It powers on, in that the led turns on. The lights blink when incrementing speeds or changing modes, but the motor is still as a river on a quiet winter morning. :neobot_upside_down:

If any of y'all have suggestions, I'm definitely willing to try them. It seems like it's a motor problem, but I can't really say what because it vibrated just fine when doing the pitiful "low power, please charge 🥺" sputtering.

I don't know whether I'm actually done with my hiatus yet, but I will try posting for a bit and see how it goes.

I found a hi-rise thong that actually fits me nicely and sits at the correct part of my hips instead of being too low! It goes up a touch farther to keep a comfortable profile. I don't wear thongs often, but when I do, I prefer them be cozy.

Additionally, I don't often find the right colors for my skin tone, so that was another win.

Here's one squeaker toy that was conveniently packer sized, so I decided to test if this shoot would manifest practically.

Also, being a squeaky toy, if I were to hip thrust anything, it would squeak hilariously. I resisted doing so because it would activate the puppy from the other side of the house and it was just not the right opportunity this time.
