Wow, that was a great #KidicalMass in #Barry #Barrybados.

Organised by the amazing AB, we were a great gang of people on wheels. It wasn’t far, but the energy was great. We moved from #BarryIsland to the #Knap, with plenty of stops to re-group.

I was there as a helper, there were a good team of us, and people in cars were patient this time.

We only had a deluge at the start, but dried off in a cafe at the Knap at the end - the new car parking charges didn’t bother us.

Morning #Biketooter gang! The morning commute is getting lighter! The streetlights were turning off as I departed, and the backlight on my bike computer turned off at 07:42 - that was 07:53 last week. Here’s the view from my viewpoint in #Barrybados #Cymru, with an extra bonus pic.

Here you go, #BikeTooter gang. My commute this evening took me through the Island Road #tunnel in #Barrybados. It’s been pimped with lights on the arched roof - the lights change colour, and move along their tracks. Sometimes they’re 🌈, other times red, and tonight, a mixture. A great atmosphere for a previously scruffy part of town. Here in #Cymru it’s cold and grey - if you’re riding at this time of year (it’s winter here), 🙌🏽, keep on keeping on - #bikes are awesome. #VeloTaf #VeloTaff

Wow, that was bracing. It’s freezing here in #Cymru, and #Barry Docks is private land so doesn’t get gritted*, so my #BikeTooter from the train was a walk, but what a walk! The #SchiffSamstag is loading wood chip - #Barrybados seems to have become a hub for collecting scrap wood. I thought that it was for the biomass incinerator, but this week, a ship has arrived. The wood is being shredded and loaded here. Seems laborious.
*(road grit - rock salt to melt ice. It’s a British thing)

Morning all. No wind at all on my bike commute. Here in south Wales, it’s unusually hot. My usual morning westerly wind assist has been replaced by easterlies in the afternoon or nothing at all today. It does wonders for some of my Strava segments. #BikeTooter #Cymru #Barrybados
