Anfang August forderten wir die dringende Sanierung der Laufstrecke vom #Dietenbach #parkrun.
Wenige Wochen später war die Strecke bereits gesperrt und seit dieser Woche sind die Baumaßnahmen in vollem Gange.

I ran my fastest #parkrun in 2026 today and celebrated parkrun's 22nd birthday! (Tutu, get it?) Official time was 22:12, 8s faster than the 2026 best I got from August, and was my best since Nov 27, 2025 Turkey Trot. It's still 1+ min off my 21:05 PR, but I'll take it!
Thank you parkrun, for leading me into the wonderful world of #running and for all the friends I've made along the way, 117 parkruns and counting!

Parkrun 04: Sittard (Niederlande)
Mein erster Parkrun außerhalb von Deutschland 🥳 Und das direkt auf so einer Highspeed-Strecke mit einigen ziemlich schnellen Teilnehmern. Das war auch der Grund, warum ich mit 25:19 eine - für mich - unglaublich schnelle Parkrun-PB gelaufen bin.
Das tolle Wetter, der schöne Park und die netten Mitläufer haben das Ganze abgerundet 👍 Aber irgendwie sind die Niederlande doch immer eine Reise wert 🙂 -
My 222nd #parkrun on their 22nd birthday. And I finished in 22:22.
No, that's a lie. I'm not that fast, but imagine if I had! Anyway, I went to Crystal Palace for the second time. Quicker than I was three years ago, beautiful weather. Nice start to the weekend.

After fooling my body into running a half-marathon yesterday, I feared it might be a bit reluctant to do a #parkrun this morning.
But it turned out that my body loves a parkrun as much as I do, so we helped each other to very pleasantly-paced finish.
Felt good, and not as painful as I expected.

Still feeling a bit wiped out by Tuesday's covid vaccine (yesterday's 5k felt like I'd never run in my life), but I wasn't about to let the bigots win, so cycled to my usual #parkrun in the drizzle (I'm a fair weather cyclist). No sign of any Reality Rules Runners (why do bigots love the same letter three times?) and no-one with it as their club listed in the results.
Still glad to wear my Trans United FC top (still a bit too warm for a t-shirt, particularly such a thick one) and trans flag wristband.
Recalibrating effort post-vaccine so couldn't run to feel and just ran for a solid 23:30, which was my highest age grading here since the end of August (68.99%). On Run Director duties next week.

Last minute scramble to get enough volunteeres for #poolbegparkrun this morning, but we made it somehow and every one of the 213 finishers got clocked, and most were scanned too. (don't forget your barcode!) #parkrun #poolbegteers

Locke Park was looking a bit moody when we turned up for #parkrun today, and there was definitely a proper chill in the air for the first time.
Possibly related, I had great success with my pacing today and not only hit my target time but felt like I could've kept sprinting for a while more.
Maybe all that struggling to run through the summer is about to pay off!

Made an effort to eat more healthily for the last couple of weeks. Have also gotten into a routine with my #elliptical machine. Took a big chunk out of my #parkrun buggy pb this morning. The hard work is paying off. Just need to keep up the momentum and keep shaving off the pounds.
