Vergangenes Wochenende ging es als Abschluss der Sommer-Saison noch einmal in die Alpen.
Nach dem die Planung letztes Jahr dem Schnee zum Opfer gefallen ist, war das Timing dieses Mal perfekt.Wir stapften in 2 Tagen von Wasserauen über die Meglisalp zum Berggasthaus Mesmer (Übernachtung). Von dort ging es am darauffolgenden Tag über die Wagenlücke hinauf auf den Höchsten des Alpsteinmassivs, den Säntis (2502m).
Der Winter war im oberen Drittel durchaus schon angekommen, weshalb wir sowohl die Aufstiegsroute ab Mesmer (zurück auf die Aufstiegsroute ab Meglisalp) als auch die geplante Nord/Ost-Grat-Überschreitung anpassen mussten (statt den Grat nahmen wir den Normalweg).
Dennoch war die Tour mehr als ein würdiger Abschluss, zumal das Wetter v.a. am Sonntag deutlich besser als vorhergesagt war und uns oben tolle Weitblicke in alle Himmelsrichtungen bescherte.
