So is this a #RealityShow ?
IMHO - #RealityTV came from #TV #Executives trying to figure out how to make the very #cheapest #Programming possible - that would still support #Advertising.
They have been wildly successful in producing the most unwatchable drek imaginable - but the $$$ dollars keep rolling in..
#AI produced #drek consisting of AIs talking to one another? I can hardly imagine anything worse - Will no doubt be hugely popular - winning #Emmys #Grammys, etc.

This isn’t a bad thing. I really like tofu but it requires understanding to make delicious.

Good grief. I adored the books of course, and then in an early computer job, my buddy and I had the Infocom game of #THHGTTG, and we spent *hours* on it when we were supposed to be working 🙂
One of my abiding memories of it was:
“Arthur Dent: What happens if I press this button?
Ford Prefect: I wouldn't-
Arthur Dent: Oh.
Ford Prefect: What happened?
Arthur Dent: A sign lit up, saying 'Please do not press this button again.”In the game, if you then hit the button a second time, you died immediately.

A couple years ago I switched from Obsidian to LogSeq because it has org-mode support OOTB. I really am only using for it's syncing capabilities across devices and availability of mobile apps. It is a far from perfect experience, but the pain is hardly noticeable if you predominantly edit the files in org-mode like me. https://logseq.com

The "theft of intellectual works" of the entire planet is just a logical continuation of capitalism.
"We" were quite cool with the theft of entire nations, peoples and their resources. The Ai theft is just a cherry on top...
... Besides (C) copyright is a #capitalist infestation, the original Copyright was only 14 years (1710) after which, the intellectual property passed into public domain. The communists did not recognise IP at all.
Hard to "steal" something thats public.

@petrillic the two open source communities to which I always look towards as models were #Pentaho and #Eigenbase/#LucidDB. Another for good and bad examples was #b2evolution

@petrillic "the fifth risk" by michael lewis¹ goes into this at length

@petrillic I mean, for me right now, in the words of #TheSlackers, every day is Sunday
and Friday never comes 😞

@petrillic that first #OneTeam at the Moscone Center had a real Heaven’s Gate / Jonestown moment when he asked everyone to mix a packet of powder with a bottle of water and collectively partake in the Salt Juice miracle.

@petrillic Trump’s wish list for his presidency was named “Project 2025”. The National Socialist or Nazi Programme which was a formulation of the policies of Hitler’s party contained 25 points and was known as the "25-point plan" or "25-point programme". It was their official party programme. I sincerely doubt that it’s a coincidence. #Nazism #FarRightIdeology #Fascism #Genocide

Patching time! The hyperbolic language aside, this is real and your productions systems are likely affected.

@chiply @petrillic Unfortunately, the syntax #logseq is producing in Org-mode setting is far from being the same as how #Emacs is creating syntax elements: https://karl-voit.at/2024/01/28/logseq-from-org-pov/
Reading logseq files in Org-mode is probably fine. Modifying Org-mode generated/modified content in logseq most probably has some issues.
I've set up #logseq for my wife, now as logseq is going south (adding DB, losing org support, unclear future of file (sync) access,...) and I do have a medium-sized conversion problem with her data. 😞
It's better to start with #Orgmode right away: https://karl-voit.at/2020/01/20/start-using-orgmode/

Ah, bummer to see this 😒
Ada's has saved me in a pinch for solder and other bits for electronics projects (still miss Metrix).
