@aj I’ve been looking for a replacement for #b2evolution since François shut down the project.

Looking forward to the answer about comments flowing to ghost

@petrillic the two open source communities to which I always look towards as models were #Pentaho and #Eigenbase/#LucidDB. Another for good and bad examples was #b2evolution

If you are using #Obsidian and publishing with #Hugo / #GoHugo , check out #Obsigo !
It's a converter/bridge from Obsidian to Hugo made by #b2evolution lead, fplanque.
(I just found it, so I haven't tried it yet.)

Schade, dass #b2evolution nunmehr Geschichte ist. Ich habe es einige Zeit selbst verwendet. https://b2evolution.net/news/2024/07/10/2024-update-site-sunset

@Cmastication @simon hmm, so could I use a LLM/GPT to convert #b2evolution files [open source blog engine in HTML/PHP/CSS/MySQL] into a Rust/GraphQL personal knowledge graph note engine publishing select notes as static blog posts to a publicly hosted web server, with updates to the publicly viewable graph as a ToC/guide?

@aral @czds yeah, they were both forked from b2/cafelog. We were on #b2evolution since 2005. The database structure changed significantly over time, especially with v6. We leaned heavily into the multi-blog, multi-author structure of b2evolution with Clarise and I both contributing to our #TeleInterActiveLifestyle #DataArchon and #SensAE #IoT blogs as well as having our own personal blogs.
Thanks for the offer of the script.

I truly need to get our #blogs back up, first by deciding what to do with #b2evolution no longer being maintained. I need to expand our #IoT to #SensAE maturity model from [component], connection, communication, contextualization, collaboration, causation and cognition to adding the missing step between #causation and #cognition which is #conceptualization to realize valuable sensor analytics ecosystems (SensAE) such as #teleinteractive #microgrids and #SmartRegions

@cwensel yep, and going back to your toot on open source sustainability — #b2evolution with a great project and a wonderful community shuttered after 18 years
Community and adoption and even commercial backers don’t always add up to forever sustainability

I still keep this note because nostalgia.

… a static web page builder, for security and ecological reasons. I’ve also been thinking about #secondBrains. I have been using #mindMaps for as long as we have been blogging; it is time for #conceptMaps and #KnowledgeGraphs There is also the utility of private, secure #LLM #GPT #GenAI fine tuned on our own knowledge graphs. And like #b2evolution multi-author, multi-blog #pingback #trackback #RSS and now #ActivityPub (I know #fediverse WriteFreely, etc). Quivr comes close…2/3

For almost two decades, @czds and I have used the #OSS b2evolution as our #blogEngine and website CMS. The community was fantastic. Unfortunately, the last update [unless forked] was in 2022 August. A previous update had broken the hack that we (mostly the community) had made allowing #b2evolution to work behind Apple’s Server setup with a reverse proxy. I’ve been thinking about next steps. François Planque, the originator of pulling together b2 and cafelog into b2evolution, suggests… 🧵 1/3

@zebpalmer Try #WriteAs / #WriteFreely. It's connected to the #Fediverse.
Non-fediverse:
But if it ends up not to your taste, there is #Grav CMS. It's a flat-file CMS that's fast and simple.Another is #b2evolution. A “community suite”. It was the first fork of b2 / b2log (the other fork is WordPress). What you need as plugins in WP are built into b2evo.
Hmm… those are the ones I've used. (I migrated to Hugo since 2020.)
