In other news: I got (another) small portable b/w CRT TV. A "Realistic Portavision". Love the handle it has, reminds me of a SX64 to a certain degree. So I had to test it with my C64 :-) Overall condition is nice and it works just fine. Now I'll part with one of the more recent, smaller other CRTs I have to make room for it (and to calm my conscience).

Ah what a bummer: I own this Amstrad Notpad NC100 for a very long time, over 20 years. Always took good care of it. But I guess you can't avoid some decay of electronics, can you? There is now a small spot on the display, hard to capture on cam. It seems to be a spot where it bulged up. Not sure what that is - maybe just a polarisation filter on top of the display like with Gameboy LC displays? Does anyone know? Has any NC100 (or 150 or 200) owner had this problem before? Is it worth the hassle of trying to fix it? As I'm inclined to let it be and just hope it won't get much worse at least in the near future.

Ejagfest 2024 - I was there! And it was great! Good vibes only, so many nice people. Was amazing to meet Carl Forhan from Songbird in person, got to shake hands with Ian McCranor who played Angus in Kasumi Ninja, had a look at the final version of Jumping at Shadows, played Tempest 2000 on an old Jag kiosk unit ... so much nerdy fun in one day. Wow. Cheers everyone, have a splendid weekend as well! 🎉🍻

Borrowed a very nice Toshiba T3100e from a friend to fool around with. And it is a treat to use, to be honest! I love the display, that's really something special. And it's so crisp! Amazing. Also, the whole machine still emits this lovely 80s electronics smell in a pretty pure way. Like it was sparsely used and very well stored over all those years! Good stuff! Had some fun playing Stunts and LHX on this 😎🕹️
Only thing that confused me was the disk space displayed in Bytes! Was going to install GEOS on this until I realized it did not have 30 MB, but only 3 MB left 😅. Oh well, Star Commander is still another very solid choice for this machine. Not tested connecting it to a 1541 and transfer files though, as I think I have the wrong cable for that.

TVs you don't see everyday: Lady Color with sepetate sound boxes for your full stereo delight. Pretty neat, actually. Saw it on small ads. Too far from my home to get it, also have more than enough CRTs already, but still a nice sight.

Finally beat Ninja Golf on the Atari 7800 on easy. There is some serious luck involved here, and I think it's the first time I got to the end here. Next step: Beating it on normal. Oh, btw: started using the new 7800 pad Atari is selling nowadays, but compared to the original (in good shape), it's actually not as good: more often than not directions are not registered directly, had that issue also when playing Ms. Pac-Man... so the new pad is okayish, but if you're in it to win it, better use and original, clean one.

Now I'd love to put them in a plastic case and print out a nice label that makes them look like a retail film. So I could do the measurements myself and do something in Photoshop, but maybe there is someone out there who already did something I can use with just a few clicks? Not talking about those cardboard VHS boxes, I've found these, but that's not what I'm after. If you know anything, thanks for letting me know.

Playing Jim Power on my Amiga 600. This is as tough as it is beautiful. And the soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck is just perfect. Also, I like how good the picture quality via antenna cable is on the A600. I mean at least on such a small CRT TV, there is basically no difference compared to AV. Amazing.
