Murphy has been writing on energy, economy, modernity, and their intersection with planetary limits for quite a while at his Do The Math blog, and although that started in a pretty standard "green tech" position, as he started to look at things from a deeper, and rather darker, perspective which in 2021 he turned into an e-textbook _Energy and Human Ambition on a Finite Planet_.

Ejagfest 2024 - I was there! And it was great! Good vibes only, so many nice people. Was amazing to meet Carl Forhan from Songbird in person, got to shake hands with Ian McCranor who played Angus in Kasumi Ninja, had a look at the final version of Jumping at Shadows, played Tempest 2000 on an old Jag kiosk unit ... so much nerdy fun in one day. At that time, it's wasn't already clear just how limited the Jaguar's launch would turn out to be, and even after that, the Jag sold a bit better than the 3DO for some months - which isn't much, still 😅. Also, this little bit was placed in an article about the 3DO, and you gotta agree that this picture of their crew is great!

So celebrate the Jaguar's 30th anniversary, enjoy the good and mediocre games, heck, maybe even some of the not-so-good ones.
