Who do you usually ping?
…when you need to spontaneously check if you can see the WAN from the #cmdLine of a system.
For me it's usually ping cnn.com.
I guess it was cuz it is short and quick. I've been using that for at least 28yrs. Just tradition now. I hope they don't stop responding to ICMP requests. lol

CF Premiere: Merv – F33D [Cumulonimbus]
The German label Cumulonimbus presents a series of fundraising campaigns with a purpose as clear as it is urgent: to help people in Sudan and Gaza living under conditions of extreme precarity. The premise is simple and powerful in equal measure —using music to make a real difference, leveraging the platform that electronic culture provides to support those who genuinely need it. This is not a symbolic gesture: it is a concrete, sustained, and transparent action.

The label extends its deepest gratitude to all the artists who have contributed and made this initiative possible, as well as to everyone who may still join the cause. At Club Furies, we are genuinely moved to be part of this project. We believe electronic music carries a responsibility that extends beyond the dance floor, and when a label like Cumulonimbus decides to use its catalog and its community for something like this, all we want to do is amplify that signal as far as possible. We will be sharing two premieres through our channel —because if there’s anything we can do from here, it’s making sure this reaches as many ears as possible, and that the maximum amount is raised for Palestine and Sudan.
The first of those premieres comes from Copenhagen, Denmark, from the artist Merv, presenting F33D. There is no description to add here, no technical analysis or narrative to construct. Just sound —and behind that sound, all the solidarity and support we have to give.

Die Uhrzeit meiner Sony Digicam war offensichtlich verstellt und damit sind die Bilder von unterschiedlichen Kameras (Handys und Digicam) in einem Ordner jetzt nicht mehr korrekt sortiert. Erst die falsche Uhrzeit (Sony) mit einer korrekten Uhrzeit (Handy) fotografieren, um den Offset zu dokumentieren. Bei mir waren das 32 Minuten Nachlauf. Und dann einfach:
exiftool -overwrite_original -DateTimeOriginal+='0:0:0 0:32:0' DSC044*
Fixed ✅ Dann noch die Uhr korrigieren.
