I keep reading about Corsi–Rosenthal boxes as DIY air purifiers that outperform all commercially available air purifiers.

You literally only duct-tape four HVAC filters together and slap any regular PC fan onto them.

US-Americans recommend the brand #Filtrete for MERV-rated HVAC filters, but in Europe that brand costs at least twice or thrice as much as in the USA.

Are there any equivalent affordable HVAC filters in Europe with a MERV rating of 8 or 13? Or do I simply have to swallow the additional cost because HVAC filters aren't as ubiquitous in Europe as they are in North America?

Just finished this Prime Video "rom-com" and honestly? It’s a bizarre, joyless slog. The premise—exes taking their "depressed" dog on a Florida vacation—sounds cute, but the execution is incredibly awkward.

Zooey Deschanel plays Anna as so cold and "uptight" that it’s impossible to root for her. There is zero romantic chemistry with Charlie Cox; they have the vibe of two strangers forced to share an Uber rather than a former couple. The script tries to make her pragmatism the "villain" of the story, but it just makes every scene feel uncomfortable and imbalanced.

For a movie about a dog, it’s surprisingly gloomy. Instead of a fun holiday romp, you get 90 minutes of "grey" energy and wooden dialogue. If you’re looking for a feel-good dog movie, skip this one and just go play fetch with a real dog. This one is strictly for those who enjoy watching two people who clearly dislike each other argue in a resort.

Немногие компании публикуют лабораторные тесты. И почему какая-то большая пластиковая коробка с вентилятором и фильтром стоит аж $100-300? Но существуют и самодельные очистители, чаще представляющие собой просто примотанный к вентилятору фильтр. Мне такая идея по душе, но в этом случае тоже нет уверенности в их эффективности. Какие-то эксперименты проводились, но недостаточно, чтобы внушить мне доверие. Поэтому я решил поэкспериментировать сам: собрал очиститель, напустил дыма и измерил, насколько эффективно он справляется с очисткой мелких частиц.
