Dann bleibt Raumbereinigung. Kerzen, Ruß, Tannennadeln. Verpacken von Jahreszeiten in Kartons, teilweise jahrzehntealt. Es sind die Momente, in denen man die eigenen Wurzeln nicht nur spürt, sondern halten will. Es sind Momente, in denen man dankbar ist, aus Hilflosigkeit im Fortschreiten aller Dinge nur melancholisch, nicht wütend zu werden. Nicht, dass Wut irgendeinen weitergehenden Nutzen brächte.

Parallelstraßen Querstraßen Straßenbahnen Touristen Rollkoffer Duftnebel aus Vanille und Schweiß Fahrräder zu eng gepackt zu schmutzig Stirn auf kaltem Fenster vibrierende Motoren unebene Gleise und Atmen in die eigene Tiefe. Zwei Haltestellen früher. Seitenstraßen, ein wenig Schwindel. Aber zumindest die Vertrautheit der Umgebung. Und der Abstand.

Früher Nachmittag über den Plätzen, immer noch stürmisches Wetter und die Nachbarschaft arbeitet sich lustlos, rauh aneinander ab. Tannenbäume hängen an zu schnellen Fahrrädern, Kisten mit Getränken und Lebensmitteln werden aus großen Autos geladen, man kommt sich in die Quere, murmelt unangemesse Worte und zeigt, dass Verzicht auf Freundlichkeit und Umgangsformen Alter und soziale Schichten überspannt. (Treppauf, Türe öffnen. Türe schließen. Zweimal. Und Kaffee, Tee am Fenster. Hinreichend weit von allem.)

Schon wieder spürbar Nachmittag, der Platz zwischen den Buden wird voller, der Abstand zu Mitmenschen geringer. Fremde Pelze, Winterkostüme, Repräsentation und Selbstdarstellung. Ein fremdes Kind erschrickt und weint, weil ein fremder großer Hund die halb gegessene Süßspeise erst zur Kenntnis nimmt und dann ableckt. Nebenan verkauft man Glühwein mit Schuss, zum Verweilen finden sich bequemen Sofas im Zelt und die Gespräche lassen überzeugte Stammgäste vermuten. Schon wieder fast Dämmerung. Die Luft ist warm.
