@CiaraNi We planned to go to Skagen on our summer cycle tour earlier in the summer.
But we had to shorten the trip at the end due to approaching westerly gales. Thus we did not make it to Skagen.
So thanks for the picture!
Maybe we can make it there next summer.

1/2 In the ferry queue coming home from a cycle tour in Denmark I chatted to a bloke from Belgium just heading to Norway with his family for two week cycle tour.
He had a nice new Pinion 12 speed bike with a belt drive, large tyres and so on. He purchased it from a company in the US for USD 2000 (plus shipping and duties).
That was less than our Rohloff VSF bikes cost in 2008.
He asked the question "How can they do that for this price?"...

Does anyone know if Vy Bus4You services (Sweeden) allow bagged/folded Bromptons? They seem to not allow bikes but I can't find any word on folded ones.
If anyone has any EU travel resources on folding bikes and train / bus travel I'd greatly appreciate it!

@SamyTerje I'm glad to see the Afsluitdijk is open to cyclists again. When I attempted to cycle across it last year, I discovered it had been closed for a long period for repairs. I had to cross the dijk using the fietsbus, along with some other cycle tourers from Germany.

We know #Nordjylland well and seeing as it is our first cycle tour in six years we wanted somewhere close to home and flat.
Offspring nr 2 has been through a couple of years of #cancer treatment in the intervening period and we really do not know what their stamina is like.
So somewhere flat is a good start for their first proper post treatment cycle tour.
Maybe it is time to re-plan our summer cycle tour Sweden instead or even #ostfriesland ?

Yesterday we was slow. Faffing a bit. Rear sidewall failure and blow out at 155 k. Booted the tyre. Rode to bike shop. Tube and tyre replaced. Lucky that was just a 6 minute ride away.
Almost across the Neatherland yesterday. Into Germany this morning. Weather is looking and feeling a bit more warm and settled.

Pitched up in woods just off route last night. All packed up now. Route loaded. 217km done. 207km planned for today.
Weather yesterday was a bit chilly. North East cross head wind for many miles. Flat terrain. Blue sky and sunshine right now.
Greay cycle paths through Belgium. Loads of shines to Mary. More than I saw in Ireland. Into and across the Netherlands today.
Good company. Stayed smiling. Eating and drinking makes all the difference.
