Müllsammelrunde durch Illingen.
Es gab auch eine schöne Begegnung. Eine Frau meinte "Schön dass Sie am Vatertag auch an Mutter Erde denken".
Ich entgegnete, dass ich eigentlich nur ein guter Vater sein möchte und meinen Kindern auch wünsche, dass sie selbst so wie wir Vatertag und Muttertag feiern können.

Two more mystery tools.
Actually we already identified the "S" one because @vaviurka knew it from her childhood in the village. But you can guess anyways :)
The right one I have no clue, other than its homemade and was important enough to have two of them.

Dead sled.

Repacked the fertilizer and stuck the old labels on as far as there were any. Most are general NPK ones which we can just use up in the garden.
Also a pot of salt for some reason. And some leftover herbicide which I've got no use for. Oh, and a jar full of rendered lard that has gone rancid years ago. Not sure what to do with those.
Then there were two open sacks of white powder with no label. Extremely light and fluffy. Since the mice gnawed plenty of holes into the sacks, the yard now looks like Elon's couch table. I guess it's fertilizer so maybe the grass will grow extra fast (it does anyways).
That's this section cleared out, except what do I do with all this ancient hay? Don't need that much mulching right now.

Drizzly day, so I found some barn work. Tidying up the gardening tools and other junk.
These are just the usable ones, there's another pile that size in need of repair, mostly broken/wobbling handles. Half of those are pitchforks 😆
There's a bunch of sacks with chewed open bags of various fertilizers, salt and other chemicals, some of them with still readable labels. Luckily only small quantities.
Also a few mystery tools, like that massive thick steel bar. No idea what's that for. I've used it for making grooves to put seeds in :)

What were these weird shallow channels for? I've got several multi-meter lengths of them them laying around.
Some kind of floor drain?

Only found four of the partial thread bolts and they were too long, meaning the threaded section started too late.
Slapped the wheel back together with some incorrect bolts for now and wrestled the old leaky inner tube back in just so I can roll the trailer out of the way as I need the tractor.
This took way too long, but on the upside, a lot of junk got sorted in the process.
And some treasure, too. A mountain of bolts, nuts and lock washers, some banjo bolts, a crappy mallet, a fire axe and drill, and a few tractor parts including starter motor, hydraulic pump, two alternators, etc.
The hydraulic pump is a great find, those aren't cheap and it looks in decent shape.

De dag na koningsdag het water op in Alkmaar met El Kombi Sup. Samen met een hele groep enthousiaste mensen gesupt en opgeruimd. Hopelijk is dit ooit niet meer nodig.
In totaal 63 kilo afval uit het water gehaald. Van plastic bekers en blikjes tot een kinderfiets en ontelbaar veel sigaretten.
Tijd dat we niet alleen opruimen, maar ook anders omgaan met wat we achterlaten. ♻️

Too wet for doing much today so I only messed around with that wheel and tidied around the barn a bit.
Found a bunch of truck panels that were integrated into the animal shack I'm demolishing. It had all kinds of stuff nailed to it, steel, wood, rubber mats, even cardboard.
Broke down the furniture inside for sauna fuel (a hay feeder and some kind of rack soaked with animal piss), then pulled some more disintegrating plastic bags from the ground and threw them into the recycling bin.
Some days not much progress, but every little bit helps.

Some kind of spring-loaded trailer hook?
Two welded steel contraptions, they look like drawbars for something.
A heavy, low brazier stand and an incomplete potato digger (hey, I was going to make one of those!).
And the waste paper basket from room 410.

After hauling the junk out of the newly redone garden, I remembered I wanted to pick up these tyres from the forest edge.
The big tyre (1.6m diameter), which I could only barely wrestle onto the pallet forks looks unused, just minor age cracks (different rules from car tyres apply here). These cost about €400 each if you buy them new, a whole soviet tractor can be had for about €2500 with tyres far worse than this one. I even have a hunch where the other one might be.
Found a couple meters of 30mm thick wire rope next to them, too.

Hauling some junk out of the garden, like this billionaire cookpot.
Looks like someone took an old steel water tank, cut the top off, welded the openings shut and added a drain at the bottom with a valve so you always have access to billionaire stock. Or maybe just collected rainwater, who knows. 🤷

Pre-jungle season is running out soon. Time to tackle goat pen #3.
Difficult access, the former outdoor service pit was in front of it, which is now just a ditch. I scooped up some dirt and built a causeway, then got rid of the ingrown fence and creeper roots.
Now I can drive the mower into there and keep it from overgrowing again.
The thorny fuckers inside got chipped into the hole and the non-thorny shrubbery got chipped onto the new causeway.
Treasure so far: The usual bunch of steel, a large concrete chunk and enough scrap wood for a few sauna sessions. Some of it even already dry.
