Une ex-salariée d’élevage témoigne : surmortalité, faux plein air, cadavres de canards brûlés

Ce mercredi 17 juillet, L214 publie une nouvelle enquête menée dans un élevage de plus de 5 000 canards de chair à croissance rapide situé à Châtillon-sur-Colmont en Mayenne (Pays de la Loire). À l’origine du signalement, une ex-salariée, Anaïs, qui y a travaillé 8 mois, et dont le contrat s’est terminé en juin 2024.
L’élevage de la Gibaudière appartient à Philippe Jehan, membre du bureau de la Chambre d’agriculture de Mayenne et ancien président de la FDSEA 53. La viande de ces canards est commercialisée par le groupe LDC, qui détient notamment les marques Le Gaulois et Loué. Ils sont censés être élevés en free range (élevage en plein air).
Mais la réalité sur place est tout autre : ces canards n’ont pas accès à l’extérieur, ils vivent sur une litière jamais changée saturée d'urine et de fientes ; certains peinent à respirer et d'autres sont à l'agonie. En 50 jours, 155 canards sont morts dans l'un des deux bâtiments de l'élevage. Les cadavres sont brûlés ou jetés dans le champ du voisin, en toute illégalité.
L214 porte plainte et demande à LDC de rompre ses liens commerciaux avec l'élevage. -

Most ppl agree #Twitter provided valuable communication channels + disrupting that will hurt communities.
