Shopping online for a 1-person tent... WTF?! 😨
"Violent Nomad"... I'll pass.
Plus an all black tent is stupid! Dark & hot inside...

I vote for “creepy” which is always bad unless you’re watching a B-movie horror flick! #trumpiscreepy

Learned on #podsaveamerica today that the #orangejesus never laughs in public?! 👎
Add “No Laughter” to your list… 🙄

Two things stand out to me...
1) So glad he used the word "cult" (because that's what the #GOP is now days).
2) Very odd that while he's describing #Trump incoherent antics, #FoxNews shows a series of stills of #Biden... WTF?!
Go #MayorPete!

Visiting my old digs in #Boston as an #NLM #Informatics Fellow back in 1988-90.
My appointment was with the Harvard School of #PublicHealth and my office cube was in the old Peter Bent Brigham Hospital building.
Old photo is from 1911 showing William Osler (mentor) and Harvey Cushing (first chair of surgery). #History

Queen Anne's Lace (an Umbellated Umbel, just love saying that phrase!)

When I was a child, I used to go through my Dad's #invertebrate #zoology textbook left over from college.
I remember being fascinated by the #worm you could cut down the middle and it would grow two heads.
Who knew this would be relevant to current events almost 60 years later?!

Actually I may be mixing up two different species.
Comments above referred to these, which were smaller and not quite the same configuration?

I still need to ID these tiny beautiful stars!

Found these near a beaver pond. Haven't had a chance to key them out yet...
Also a good example of using yourself as a sun shade to help bring out the colors!

"Plastic bins: better than boxes"
I remember a nice "service" our local grocery store used to provide the community. They would "hold" and not break down the better cardboard boxes they had received in case one of us customers might need them for moving. Sometimes you'd have to find the guy in the back and ask him to do this. Never had them say no. Way better than using new boxes and probably better than anything plastic!

I have a personal #CommonYellowThroat story...
I was in the #CorkscrewSwamp Preserve (S. #Florida) many years ago on a boardwalk when I looked down that the roots of a tree and saw a Yellowthroat attacking, but not eating, some ants. I thought "That's odd," and checked the bird off my year list. At the time I had no idea what I had witnessed.
Years later, doing some bird-related reading I discovered "Anting" a form of self-maintenance, self-medication! 🙂 🤷♂️

#Mnemonic for the Little Bandit's song... "Witchity, Witchity, Witchity" 🙂 💕

For those not familiar with these #RoadsideFlowers, the first year they grow as a whorl of leaves mostly flat on the ground. In the second season they put up these flowering stalks that can be six foot tall.
Note to birders... I've seen Downy #Woodpeckers several times hanging on the stalks happily eating mullein seeds! 🙂

So many things going on in this highway rest area #bathroom photo...
a) Is the #sign directed at dogs? There's a sink within 20 feet. What human drinks out of #urinals?
b) This is a water-less urinal and the plumbing has been capped off?! Good luck getting a drink!
c) There is a little #bee glazed into the porcelain. I've seen little flies used as the aim point, but why a bee? Doesn't make much sense!

The Motor Mill
The Town of Motor with a large gristmill took shape in the 1870s along the Turkey River in Clayton County Iowa. Nothing remains of the town itself, but the mill and associated buildings survive.
