In the #Vodacom App, go to My Account > Account Details > Manage Permissions and toggle off all options. The downside, they want your Email Address and Birthdate - use SimpleLogin for a fake address and they accept a fake Birthdate, as long as it is over 16yrs.

En los últimos años he donado a la #EFF, a #ElementaryOS, a la #FSF, a #veedeo, a #mastodon, a la instancia aus(.)social, a #KDE, a #Notable, a #Signal, a la #Wikipedia, he comprado aplicaciones y suscripciones por el mero hecho de que son los canales de ingresos para los proyectos (p.e., simplelogin), ¿he donado a #Fedora?, creo que sí pero lo volveré a hacer, y he tenido un presupuesto mensual para patreons y apoyos puntuales.

I had an old Yahoo email account (it was @ymail, I thought that was neat). I think I made the account in 2008 or 2009. Back when I did not know any better, I primarily used Gmail, MSN, and Yahoo Mail, but Yahoo was always third on the priority list. I do not think I meaningfully used the Yahoo account since 2013 or 14. I was aware of the big Yahoo hack in 2016 or so, but never got around to deleting my account. Now that I am older and wiser (I pay for Posteo and SimpleLogin for my own email), I decided to delete my Yahoo account. When I tried this with AOL a year or so ago, it did not go well, but Yahoo made deleting my account surprisingly easy. I recommend using Just Delete Me as a guide to help you find and delete old and unused accounts that can become liabilities.

Anybody know whether there are any decent free e-mail providers that still offer IMAP or auto-forwarding to new customers? Zoho had been my go-to address, but now they don't seem to offer IMAP to new customers.
I have minimal requirements. I just need an e-mail for signing up for new stuff that:
- doesn't want your phone number
-isn't really sketchy (and yeah both GMail and Outlook are out in that regard)
-allows either IMAP or auto-forwarding on the free planSomething in Europe would be my preference, but I'm flexible.
I thought simplelogin.io was an alternate solution, but it seems the aliases that don't have stupid numbers in them will not be available after the premium trial week.
I'd be much obliged if someone could point me in the right direction.

A couple of months ago, maybe even 1 or 2 years ago, I also was searching for a new E-Mail provider. Because IONOS build in features, that they said, should secure their customers. They don't allow sending E-Mails from an Alias anymore. Which hasn't anything to do with securing their customers... Just restricting working configurations. Anyway:
I couldn't find a new Mailprovider that met my requirements. Sadly at that time neither did mailbox.org or posteo.de.
The thing is, that I use aliases at my own domain intensively. Like [email protected], twitter@ and so on.
In the last years, I build a lot of aliases. And, somehow mailbox.org just restrict using them (WTF? - there is absolutely no(!) need to restrict the use of aliases even in their most expensive packet!). And I thought, even posteo was restricting them, but now I can't find that restriction in their docs anymore. And I can't create an Posteo account to find out their abilities, because I need to pay. There doesn't seem to be a way of a "30 day trial period" or something.
So, long story short: Can't recommend the german mail provider because of some stupid alias restrictions according to their public docs. And, sadly enough, I couldn't find any other provider that would help me with my aliases other than simplelogin.io. Which might be the cheeto-fingered oompah-loompas you mentioned.
BTW. Posteo advertises 12(!) different colors (schemes) for its web interface on the first place of their website. Come on... it's not 1990 anymore. Although they have a "brand new"(?) dark theme, the web interface looks more like very old SquirrelMail at first glance (https://www.squirrelmail.org/screenshots.php)
Sorry, I don't want to rant. Maybe the privacy features and green energy and free bike repair things for their staff outweigh these things... But I'm not 100% sure if they really can outperform on other important layers in E-Mail Communication, too.
Also I don't even got started about other Mailboxes that I manage for my family members. I don't think that any of the two would have the possibility to manage multiple own domains for multiple (other? as in: payed by someone else) mailboxes.
Probably I will start / need to start my own Mailprovider if I had to much time and money.
