Gefühlt wird @mailbox_org etwas instabil. In der Vergangenheit war meist nur der Webmailer betroffen, jetzt ist es tatsächlich zusätzlich die für Senden und Empfangen relevante Infrastruktur.

Hat @mailbox_org gerade Probleme mit IMAP? Zumindest mein FairEmail mag sich nicht mit dem Server verbinden.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use email aliases in the #FairEmail app? I have some in my #mailbox_org account and I receive all messages just fine, but I don't want to reply to them using my standard address.

Does anyone know why public task folders from @mailbox_org don't appear to sync to DAVx5? I can't even see the folders I plan to share, let alone those that were shared with me. And here I was hoping we could use #mailbox_org with @jtx ... 🙄

We switched to #mailbox_org last year for e-mail and our family calendar, but we're struggling with a few things:
- tasks missing subtasks
- no sync for notes
- family calendar feels weird, since you invite other family members to events you create instead of just creating events in a shared calendar

Should we have used another provider? Do you know who offers a simpler shared calendar (and shared to do lists)?

Ich muss gleich weinen... jetzt habe ich erfolgreich meine Mails von Gmail zu meinem Domain-Anbieter #Strato umgezogen, nur um *anschließend* festzustellen, dass Strato für Kalender- und Adressbuch-Synchronisation Extragebühren verlangt - und das nicht zu knapp, weil im Business-Paket mit Features, die ich nicht brauche.

Also alles nochmal von vorne und doch zu #mailbox_org , weil dann alles zuverlässig an einem Ort ist, schätze ich.

Mein größtes Projekt für digitale Souveränität ist der Wechsel weg von Gmail. Linux als Betriebssystem mit LibreOffice und Firefox sowie Threema und Signal als Messenger sind schon länger am Start.

Heute das erste Mal mit dem Thema beschäftigt (Danke, @heiseonline ) und aktuell würde ich wahrscheinlich auf Mailbox.org mit eigener Domain wechseln. Vielleicht am Sonntag...

Benutzt hier jemand @mailbox_org?

Die bekommen es nicht hin, gefälschte Spam- und Phishing-Mails trotz SPF-, DKIM- und DMARC-Fehlern abzulehnen. Man habe das an die "Consultants" weiter geleitet.

Alle paar Monate fragt jemand nach dem aktuellen Stand.

Sie bitten um Geduld.

Ich bekomme beim anmelden einen internal Server error. Bestätigungsmails oder so habe ich auch nicht bekommen, durfte aber meine Kontodaten hinterlegen.

Ratet, wer die nächsten Monate seine Umsätze sehr genau überwachen wird.

The #email address is one of the most important services you have: It is not only used for communication, but as part of the login credential for nearly all other services it also serves as your digital identity and backup for most of your accounts (e.g. when you need to reset your password, etc.). That makes it your most important hub for all digital services, and becomes a detailed profile of your digital life in itself.

It therefore needs to be #secure - but also respect your #privacy. And it should be #reliable and support your #souvereignity.

The most used email provider #Gmail by #Google might be secure, but most definately neither respects your privacy, nor your #souvereignity as it is one of the #US #BigTech companies that would delete your account if their fascist leader wills it (plus Google's #SundarPichai and #SergeyBrin are openly supporting him).

Time to switch to an #EuropeanAlternative - after some reserach and evaluating the three biggest contenders, I chose to go with @mailbox_org. It'll cost you at least 1€/month, but this money ensures that they won't try to cover their costs by selling your data.

As a bonus, #mailbox_org also provides other services you know from Google, like Calendar, Contacts, Drive, Documents (Text, Tables and Presentations), Chat and Webcam Meetings, Polls and Shared Notes. There's a private and a corporate option, as well as a family option (that I have yet to explore - not quite sure how it works and what benefit it brings). But most importantly, it's #German company following #EU laws, has multiple certifications and simplifies the usage of #GPG for non-techi users, while giving techis the freedom they desire.

Switching one's email is a tedious endeavour - but I believe that this is the most important service to migrating. If there is only one service you want to migrate, let it be the one that gives you access to all other services - or practically cuts you off, if someone else gains access to it!

The Proton CEO's "both sides" rhetoric on fascism and antifascism was off-putting to say the least, but I'm not denying Proton are a good service, despite the crypto/"A.I." stuff. The loss of their excellent spam filtering is something I'm still feeling. My Tuta Mail has been polluted with spam from my very old domain email (hardly their fault!). Does anyone know if Malbox.org's spam filtering tends to be any stronger? #Mailbox #Mailbox_org

Ich bin bisher mit so ziemlich allem bei den üblichen US Konzernen.
Habe nun mit eurer Hilfe zu #mailbox_org gewechselt, würde dort auch mein onedrive, Email und was so geht hin umziehen.
Nutze bisher die #Outlook app für Emails. Dort jetzt das Mailbox_org Konto einzubinden ergibt ja dann wenig Sinn.
Tipps für gute Alternativen willkommen.
PS ich werde dann jetzt nach und nach hier für diverse weitere Alternativen fragen, sobald ich am nächsten Punkt angekommen bin 😬 danke euch
