@ct do you mean between self hosting Forgejo or use Codeberg? I’m a bit surprised to hear there are CI limitations, because in both cases you still need runners to execute jobs, same as on github. My understanding is that Forgejo itself already has “Actions”/CI support.

Is the number of #codeberg repos over time being tracked somewhere?

Mostly lots of bugfixes before hopefully a 2.3.1-beta.1 release this week.

Ich habe einen Algorithmus geschrieben, mit dem man Millionen von Hausspeichern zu Verbrauchern über den Peak machen könnte.
Die kann man nämlich viel gezielter steuern als die meisten anderen Verrbaucher.
Dazu gibt es zwar oft schon Einstellungen in vielen Anlagen, aber die verschieben nur das Laden des Akkus ein wenig.
Bei mir wird vor dem Peak aktiv ins Netz entladen, damit dann über den Peak der Akku genug Kapazität hat, um über den ganzen Peak laden zu können.
Damit könnte man alle PV-Anlagen mit Speicher komplett über den Peak aus dem System nehmen.
Anbei ist der Meta-Code, der die Idee dahinter beschreibt.

Netzdienliche PV-Speichersteuerung
Frisch zum Wochenende die niegelnagelneue Version von meiner Peak-Shave-Steuerung für Home Assistant.
• Sie hat ein paar schlechte Tage überstanden und ich viel dabei gelernt.
• Sie übersteht jetzt einen Ausfall von dem Prognosedienst und kann auf einen zweiten Anbieter zurückfallen. Selbst wenn beide weg sind, steuert sie die PV-Anlage weiter in den richtigen Modus.
• Sie kommt damit klar, dass die Huawei-Integration immer mal wieder offline ist.
• Und sie ist jetzt in klare Zeitzonen eingeteilt, was viel einfacher nachvollziehbar ist.

Some thoughts about Codeberg as an end-user
A few weeks ago I had to ask a dev there something. As I'd never used it, to my surprise, figuring the UI/UX out was pretty seamless, like the designers went for a lean version of GitHub.
RSS pulls a lot of things and is easy to spot. Visual noise is minimal. Update links are legible. Color scheme has a good contrast despite being inaggressive. And elements in the page are blocky and so
Politically, apparently some people promote it for not being American (apparently German?). Dunno the company behind the service, and also don't know how tied to their government they are, so can't comment on that front.
Also can't comment on maintaining a project there, but since a site's design is usually consistent, I'd presume it's lean/seamless there too.
Overall, imo as an end-user, it did seem decent, and wish more sites went for this design philosophy when trying to be an alternative to other services.
Only concern is RSS: it does pull a lot of things, and I couldn't find a way to filter stuff out, so I worry the noise a more popular or active project would cause.

Netzdienliche PV-Speichersteuerung mit Home Assistant
Bei der stufenweisen Weiterentwicklung des BluePrints, habe ich mich leider ein wenig verrannt. Die Steuerung ist immer komplizierter geworden, was es schwer gemacht hat, Fehlerverhalten zu verstehen und zu beheben.
Es gab zu viele Regeln und Aktionen, die gegeneinander gearbeitet haben.
Deshalb habe ich den Algorithmus jetzt noch mal in Meta-Code aufgeschrieben.
Also so etwas wie einen Auftrag an einen Entwickler.
Wenn ihr Spaß daran habt, schaut gerne mal drüber, ob ihr noch Fehler oder andere Probleme darin findet.
Mein Ziel war eine einfache und robuste Grundstruktur, die man möglichst gut selbst umsetzen kann.
Man kann es natürlich auch als Grundlage für eigene Ideen verwenden und weiterentwickeln.
Anbei sind zwei Versionen, eine einfache Mark-Down-Datei (perfekt für LLMs) und eine ODS-Version, die hoffentlich für Menschen übersichtlicher ist.

#Forgejo :forgejo: releases are published according to a fixed release schedule with security announcements between major releases.
Already a year ago, I wrote a small #python script creating an #ics calendar file which can be read by almost any calendar software. Using a scheduled job (e.g., with #cron), I have the always updated calendar in my #Thunderbird.
