just experienced some ai food presentation video where there were some gloved hands holding a pickling jar full of vegetables. then a third gloved hand with tongs came and took out some of the contents. The main issue, besides the third hand coming in impossibly from nowhere was that the hands also weren't coming from a body despite looking like they should. the background was just empty where a body would presumably have been.
Then there was the narration which was also a bit off, but that is much more common too these days.

Just finished my 7th Dev Log for the game I'm building. It isn't huge in fixes, but it goes over a few pesky problems that my play testers and myself encountered these past sessions. There's still more to come, but it's good enough that it doesn't break the gameplay.

Just cast my vote in the BC Provincial election. Sad to report that neither of my kids were able to for various reasons.
I wonder if this goes part of the way towards why we sometimes end up with dastardly authoritarian governments, because authoritarian parents force their kids to vote, and possibly even who for, while non-authoritarian parents do their best to appeal to their kids about the importance of voting.
(I'm not even remotely suggesting I might become more dictatorial in my parenting, I doubt I could even if I wanted to.)

Just now I finally fixed that system: speech filters.
For testing, I gave both myself and Yuuko here the same setup: Elmew Fudd syndrome on the "personal" layer, and sharp teeth and a long tongue on the "body" layer.
There's also an unused "culture" layer.

just to remind me of how awesome working on thinkpads is, here's a batch of #macbook pro A1502; 13-inch retinas of the 2015 vintage with the bog-standard 8 GB RAM, no storage and every, single, one has a bulging battery. and not only are they bulging, *every* cell is swollen! never had that before, usually it's only some of them. not that it makes any difference, they're all coming out
just to make working on the things more shitty, almost all of them got some stupid plastic protector shell that's fucking impossible to take off without breaking. tried it every which way, if one half does give and come off without cracks, the other half is like I ain't going nowhere what
nothing interesting to report here, after tons of alcohol and twisting and breaking all my expired debit cards, the things are out. grim chances on scoring good batteries for those, as well as magsafes; SSDs I got coupla. final flying ointment (h/t Chris Moltisanti, loyle to his capo), the 2015s got the unremovable staingate so they gotta go out as-is
to finish the festivities, there's one 2013 model and one A1425 from 2012; those can get the staingate removed but they don't need it, go figure. the latter one had the then super-expensive 500 GB SSD and it didn't get snagged by the junkers because it was hidden away in a tray. slim chances on selling the thing as it fits only L2012/E2013 retinas; seem to remember those things burning undogly amounts of power
