Took these telco heads a bit to adapt their usual three channel interface to push-to-talk networks. Basically they simulate PTT via a repeater such as in VHF/UF ham radio. This is performed by the push-to-talk server and there are the interception points for Metadata = IRI & content = CC
If have shoved all these beautiful #ETSI acronyms you see here such as LIPF [lol] into the ALT text

Police and first responders will move from TETRA - which is basically PTT over GSM - to virtual 5G networks run e.g by Verizon, T-moblie et al. for sake of bandwith.
According to the #ETSI dogma that each & every new service must be interceptable they are designing lawful interception interfaces into police networks.

The problem is: administrations, governments and parliaments do not want to change anything, certainly not to migrate anything. They are not only technophobic, they hate new technologies. Our public servants are traumatized by printers that don’t work or by poor Wi-Fi, so they just want to keep what they know. Our officials are putting European security and independence at risk just so they can continue to use Microsoft Outlook! That sounds idiotic, but that’s how I experience administrations.
Bert’s an old hand and I don’t agree with him on everything, but this is worth reading / translating from German if you want to understand a European *tech* perspective on regulation of the current tech world:
