Just a quick screenshot from an Artix with XFCE live boot.
Already I am feeling better about XFCE than MATE. The "Ctrl + Alt + t" keyboard shortcut for bringing up a termal works, in MATE it doesn't by default.
Without messing with it too much, it also seems more easily customizable.
Will report more later.

Moving Caps lock away from its modern location and replacing it with Ctrl is always a #based move. And I like how having the function keys on the left balances out a little the usual imbalance the #numpad introduces.
As usual, I love the huge enter key (deserving!) but the tiny backspace is probably a deal-breaker.

@argv_minus_one Despite I've remapped CapsLock key to left Ctrl — I'm still using CapsLock function (remapped to LShift+RShift) every day.
With touch typing it is necessary to enable CapsLock when typing something only with capital letters. Instead, it will be a crazy juggling with both Shift keys and letter keys :drgn_hide: – switching between LShift for HJKL and the RShift for ASDFG (see the picture) all the time :drgn_flat_nervous:

actuellement j’utilise le même réglage pour Ctrl et AltGr et il fonctionne nickel : donc je vois pas pourquoi vous devez les différencier.
Ça fonctionne à condition de renoncer aux homerow-mods, oui. Rien de grave, mais on trouve dommage de passer à côté de ça.
Notre objectif avec #Arsenik et le #Quacken, c’est de pouvoir activer les homerow-mods de façon simple, voire triviale. Le gain de confort est assez dingue.

I've just nearly fucked up my server installation by running
chown -R root: /instead ofchown -R root: .because the slash on the keyboard is located next to the dot.I pressed Ctrl+C as soon as I could, but it already modified some files.
God bless the person who decided that a directory traversal should be deterministic, so I can just run
find / >files.txtand fix metadata for these files one-by-one.At least I hope it is deterministic,
findgave me the same output two times, so I suppose I fixed all modified files. -
