This run of #Skyrim is definitely going differently than my previous one.
I’ve not been to see the Greybeards yet, I got my first dwelling without spending a septim and made Uthgerd my steward, I agreed to go get Thorald from the Thalmor without any bloodshed so I had to go see General Tullius in Solitude, and now I’m taking my first step in joining the Legion. Because I think that is the only way to get Tullius to agree to release Thorald.
More tomorrow after work. -

New Chroma zine merch preview! This tarot card will be part of the physical bundle when it releases, so please stay tuned for the pre-order form! It's taking a bit longer than I expected to finish up the zine and work has been crazy but it's still in production! 🙏💖 #botw #aprilfools #zine

Please Don't Feed the Children 2025 shows that Destry Spielberg has more balls than her father
Steven Spielberg directed some rather intense movies throughout his career. He made Duel in 1971 about a maniac truck driver. He made a blog-buster sensation Jaws in 1974. And he made films like Schindler's List and War of the Worlds that could be considered horror films. But he never did a true, scary horror film. My mother used to say that "Steven Spielberg is too sentimental to make truly scary movies". But that statement isn't true about his daughter Destry. 2025 film by Destry Allyn Spielberg Please Don't Feed the Children shows that she is capable to rival fucking Eli Roth if she wants to.

(cont.) With a Class 2 e-bike, you can use max pedal assist to move through that risk period as quickly as possible. My Townie will do 28 mph in 8th at max assist. That gives me more options for managing risk than either of my non-e bikes.
- At the same time, that's a lot of zip for a bicycle, and I wonder whether kids, say under 16, have the judgment to use it wisely. I see kids zipping around the neighborhood on e-bikes. Be careful!

Today was my 200th #parkrun at my local park, 231 overall. I'll be able to order the green t-shirt soon :)
Yesterday we were at a friend's funeral, and this morning I ran with some friends for most of the course, just chatting and sharing some old memories. A little slower than last week, but more #running and less walking so I don't mind.
You'd think after nearly 250 parkruns I'd be running the whole thing, but I'm really not built for this. I think I'm just stubborn.

A much greyer and wetter view from Cotsford Fields today than last time, but we went up to support my mam doing her first ever #parkrun as the tail walker!
They made a big fuss over it being her first and she was mortified about being centre of attention, but there were only about forty people there so she'll get over it 😂
Kath came with me and finished as First Dog (although she was also Only Dog, but the volunteer crew cheered her on anyway).
A solid, if rather moist, family morning out 👍

@DrMcStrange I just dug in a little deeper: it appears that the first Russian rail terminal in St Petersburg in the 1830s had a pleasure garden (a "Vauxhall") attached to it to entice vistors.
People ended up using the word to describe the whole terminal complex rather than just the pleasure garden, then it was downcoded to a generic eponym for other terminals as the rail lines spread through the Tsarist Empire (much as any periodic thermal spring is called a "geyser" in English, after Geysir in Iceland).
