  4. Is there a way for me to manually rotate these molecules and align them?

I can align them in PyMol, but the alignment is not done how I want it done.

When I open both, select A, rotate A into the desired position, then select B, and rotate B, A has changed orientation.

Anybody any suggestions for manual alignment of small molecules?

  9. @timtriche yeah I’ve been manually cross posting.

At #biodata22 I found Twitter was easier to use, eg I want to quickly look up handles and draft posts / threads during sessions, mostly to promote work by Phd students. Both of those are hard to do here (the latter not possible w the main app).

But for me this is week 1 of trying a new thing, entirely OSS and hosted/moderated by volunteers so I’ve got lots of patience to figure things out

  12. Experimentally checked it is possible to manually #reinstall OS on #DigitalOcean #Droplet. I had to change OS but I didn't want to lose my first #VPS.
Did it with #debootstrap, docs and my backup as a model.
I haven't restored all services yet, I will probably do it during next several days.

  15. Another #Bitwig question: Is there a way for me to manually change the meta-data for an external vst3/clap plugin, so it will be categorized the right way in Bitwigs browser?

(It seems so extremely odd that you can’t manually change this in the Bitwig Browser, when you have so many different filter options which doesn’t make sense to use at all, when all items can’t be sorter)

  20. #Signalapp doesn't actually delete messages when they're deleted (either manually or by automation). The message deletion is written to Write-ahead Log, and the data is only truly deleted once Signal is restarted or threshold of 1000 pages is reached. For macOS Signal application, extra complication arises from the fact that the signal message database can be backed up before the database consolidation occurs. Large amount of the supposedly already deleted messages could be recovered from the device or backups.

This concerns use cases where deleting messages actually getting removed in timely manner is of high importance and recovery of the deleted messages could lead to grave consequences.

TL;DR: If you don't care about deleted messages being actually deleted you don't need to worry.
