Hello fediverse!
I am a #neurodivergent f/56/Amsterdam and #NewHere. I like to read #books, write blogs, watch series and play #vinyl.
I have wandered virtual worlds since #UltimaOnline and still whisper Kal Ort Por when I want to leave a room. Now I am in #BDO, #FFXIV, #ESO, #GW2 and #WoW with #Linux under the hood.
I make my own yoghurt, eat organic and avoid both #BigFood and #BigTech. I also founded Rebellicious, a European community for older gamers since 2016.
@Lanske Well, you're most welcome to join us. We play not just #WoW and it is always nice to hang with other gamers, no matter on which rosters you end it up. And perhaps it helps your guild to some ideas on how to go about leaving #Discord as well. We also have #IRC and #Mumble hosted on our own server. That was our first to go to. Until I found the courage to figure out #Matrix, which I personally think is much better then Discord. ;)
@Lanske Responding here as I am going to close down our account at mastodon.social soon.
I have to admit, leaving Discord with #Rebellicious came at a cost. I think about 15% of our in game rosters so far has made it to our new website and our #Matrix server. A bunch even left because of it. But then again, we had a lot of inactive people on our #Discord and we lost about 200 of those. I personally like the more old skool approach: we seem a lot smaller but we also get to know each other.
Good morning Rebels,
Having coffee and walking a dog while cleaning up our neighborhood in #WorldofWarcraft. Since I had to restart my subscription earlier then anticipated for #WoWForever to be able to post on the recruitment forums, I might as well put in some time to level my house. That is the real endgame after all. And no, it was no coincidence I picked the puppy endeavors on Animal Day. Now I am glad I did because these are very convenient and low pace things to do in the early morning.
I am kind of glad that #Aion2 is not available in The Netherlands. Between #WoWForever coming up next month and the new expansion #Evercold from #FFXIV in January while I still have some catching up to do in #Dawntrail, would not know where to find the time. I barely have touched ESO this year and there is no way I have time to start Hall of Monuments in #GW2 if they release that this fall too. Too many old #mmorpgs to keep track off while a great big new one is no where in sight.
