@drahardja my first job where there was even a little bit of this computery nonsense was at a defence contractor. We had a bunch of machines for "office automation" stuff. #CAD, #WordPerfect, file sharing, email and stuff like that. They came from the supplier with #SCOUnix installed, and configured with #telnet up and running. The root password was, errm, the company name, and was never changed after delivery. Yes, they were on the public internet, such as it was in 1992.

I imagine the dot patterns are similar to those used by the UK post office to frank letters (pink dots) which *seem* to have vanished now that coded traceable postage stamps have been introduced.
(Although they could still be spraying naked-eye invisible messages with UV/fluorescent ink I suppose.)

IDK. I've eaten at #RedLobster on occasion & while it's not great, it's not that bad either.
This CEO seems to have an excellent history in turning around a business & it sounds like he's taking a reasonable approach in incorporating AI into its operations to make Red Lobster better & more profitable.
I wish him good luck.

I couldn't agree more! That's why a dear colleague of mine and me tried to make this point in a different way, also looking at it from an educational perspective and what can seriously go wrong there:

@drahardja Just got an email telling me that my ballot is in the mail.
And, at this point, I'm leaning towards #Becerra too. 🤷♂️
Porter & the rest of the Dems should formally withdraw now (only Yee & Swalwell have so far) but it won't change the ballot because all of their names will still be on there.
Fortunately, from this poll, it looks like Becerra will have enough votes to get him in a run off with Hilton & there's no way that Hilton is going to beat Becerra 1 on 1.
But, it's #politics, & heaven help us if that happens. 🤦♂️

@drahardja My question is: Why have so many #rappers been targeted to be killed?
They are icons to the people who like their "music" but apparently they say sh*t in their lyrics that pisses certain people off enough to make them want to kill them. 🤷♂️
I asked Gemini AI to give me a list & they named 17 rappers who have been murdered between the 1980's to the present.
So, this is NOT the 1st time this has happened & from the looks of the "kid" in the photo, he wasn't a teenybopper. He looks like a full grown man.
And 70 rounds fired between the "teens" & the rapper's "security" and only an innocent bystander gets killed? 🤔
WTF???? This is proof that people need to be required to "qualify" at a range before they can be allowed to buy & own gun.
But, of course, my guess is that all of the firearms in the possession of the "teens" were illegally obtained & more likely than not more than a few of those carried by the "security" forces were likewise illegal.

By that I mean take away fascists power so non-renewable military interests can no longer drive inequality and injustice. With that they will no longer have the means to threaten us with their ultra violent Empires and their death cults. As should now be clear, that only favours an ever diminishing few who get to live in obscene luxury.
