Yes it might be a great beginner friendly OS. But nothing stops one from getting more advanced with it. From a happy #lmfanboy since 2015 🥳 -
This morning I woke up and saw, through my window, a hummingbird perched on my little lemon tree outside, having a rest. She's been there for some time and I'm so happy to see my little unexpected, but welcome guest. I hope you find little blessings in your day today, too.

"When we live in a death-denying society, we rob ourselves of the chance to think of how we want to spend our days now."
– @simonestolzoff , author of How Not To Know, on KQED & @nprThis comes from a wonderful discussion of 'uncertainty' in our lives and culture.

This is some big wonderful news! I grew up in the Episcopal church and I have memories of a schism nearly forming over allowing women in leadership (In the '90s and may have been local/regional - I can't remember the details now). I'm excited and hopeful to see continued progress under the Most Reverend Sarah Mullally's leadership.

I've been really enjoying Masterpiece's All Creatures Great And Small. It's absolutely cozy viewing and I'm hooked, but pacing myself.

I knew I'd be watching this movie eventually, but now I'm going to catch it in the theater.

Visited my mother today to help her move some furniture into her new craft room and while I was there, also visited with the cats, Finley and Bailey. This is significant because Bailey is extremely shy around men, but she came out to say hello...to my mother, but she tolerated me being there and THAT is kinda a big deal. So that was nice, too.
Marked sensitive for eye contact.

Ah, the end of day email barrage that reminds me that I'm not forgotten and in fact, I have new deliverables...for tomorrow, even. Hooray! Or something.
I'm going home.

Watching how quickly Hurricane Erin has ramped up strength to a Category 5 storm does not give me good feelings about the rest of the hurricane season. I probably need to buy a generator or a power bank of some kind, but they're so damned expensive.

I'm heading to bed, so I'll watch the second half of this match with my coffee in the morning. Despite Gold Coast jumping out to a big lead, Melbourne is clawing their way back in to the match after a horrendous opening quarter. I love how quickly teams can turn games around in the AFL - few leads are truly safe.

Fun back-and-forth game between the Sydney Swans and the Western Bulldogs. I haven't had many chances to watch these two teams this year thanks to international broadcast schedules—this is may be only the second Bulldogs game I've seen this year—but they're putting on a heck of a show!

Today is my first day of vacation and I'm using the free morning to see a matinee showing of The Life of Chuck. I love matinee movies and the theater worker told me this is their favorite movie of the year to this point. Looking forward to the experience and the show.

All it took was six years of care-taking, lessons learned, and more than a little luck (or possibly divine favor), but this year I have peaches! Or maybe the peach trees are saying, "Hey, this year has been rough - here's something sweet to help you through for a bit." Either way, I'm grateful.

"In the Who Cares Era, the most radical thing you can do is care. In a moment where machines churn out mediocrity, make something yourself. Make it imperfect. Make it rough. Just make it."

My 7 year old peach trees (6 years in the ground here) look like they might just provide fruit this year. In the meantime, I'm taking this as a sign that they are happy and healthy and maybe I've hit my stride in caring for them. They sure are pretty though. :peach_ms:
