@feditips @MastodonEngineering Yes.
First, there's #Weblate. I strongly recommend it, I have recently started using it for my own games. #Minetest also uses it.
Then, there's translatewiki.net. #FreeCol uses it and a number of other projects. Also good.
There are also #Zanata and #Pootle but I have no experience with these and they may be outdated (check for yourself).
Then, there are translation services tailored towards specific software:

#fedora announce the translation platform #zanata will be removed in favor of #weblate.
it means https://fedora.zanata.org will be stoped, the new place is https://translate.fedoraproject.org (which works fine since December 2019).remember: you are welcome to host your project if you share Fedora community values! Open a ticket: https://pagure.io/fedora-l10n/tickets

I am really close to reach my first #Fedora goal: allow #localization of Fedora #Documentation. It took 4 years.
My second fedora goal already is done: have our community to use #Weblate. It took one year.
Last goal was to remove #Zanata, it will be reached in a few months. It was delayed on my request. It "took" 3 years.
Nothing really is easy in life. But everything is possible with open source community.
I was not alone.
You are not alone. -
#TIL about Zanata:
"a web-based translation platform for Translators to translate documentation and software online using a web browser."
https://translate.zanata.orgThe service is run by Red Hat and software developers can set up their projects to be translated here, at no charge.
The platform itself runs on free code software:

@Diffu There are many free and open source solutions.I'm currently using #Pootle https://pootle.translatehouse.org on my own server and it runs great. You can see it at https://translate.nikisoft.one .If you can't selfhost it,I would allow you to use my server for free. Before I switched to Pootle,I used #Zanata https://zanata.org but the project doesn't seem to be actively maintained anymore. After they had two very long server outages I've gone away but I think it's online again.Anyway I don't know how reliable it is right now.

The state of open source #translation tools for contributors to your project
There are almost 100 #languages with more than 10 million speakers. How many of your active contributors speak one?
