Ich habe gerade ganz schockiert festgestellt,dass es schon 3 Monate her ist,dass ich das letzte Mal was fuer #Halcyon und #CloudFirewall getan hab 😲 Daran muss ich unbedingt was aendern.Die Zeit hat es einfach nicht zugelassen und das tut sie in Zukunft eigentlich weiterhin nicht,aber irgendwie muss ich es mir halt einteilen,dass das klappt,denn das sind zwei meiner Meinung nach sehr wichtige Projekte,die ich nicht sterben lassen will.Als erstes hab ich mal meine To Do Liste aufgeraeumt.Da war das letzte Cloud Firewall Update noch gar nicht abgehakt.Irgendwann wird dann mal wieder ein Halcyon Update kommen.Das wird dieses Mal was groesseres.

So viele Projekte,so wenig Zeit.Tatsaechlich koennte ich heute mal wieder zum Programmieren kommen,da ich alles uebrige gestern schon erledigt hab.Bleibt allerdings die Frage,ob #Halcyon mal wieder ein Update vertragen koennte oder ob ich lieber die Mehrsprachigkeit von #CloudFirewall fertig stellen sollte,weil es da schon Anfragen zur Hilfe bei den Uebersetzungen gibt 🤔 Schwierig,aber ich denke,bei Halcyon ist es aktuell wichtiger,mal wieder ein Zeichen zu senden,dass das Projekt nach langer Zeit ohne Updates nicht tot ist.

Well, the mastodon feature of "LISTS" tries something similiar by allowing to make a sorted list of people\subscription, sorted by your custom category/topic. But it doesn't include #tags. Each #tag must be browsed separately, individually, manually, and there is no feature of list of tags in mastodon.
Lemmy, mbin, kbin, piefed and other #reddit #forum like #activitypub implementations allow you to have topics-threads, but each thread does not replicate very well across multiple servers/instances. Can't be easely crossposted ( by pinging multiple category-bots). And doesn't replicate & easily-searchable as classic mastodon #tags.

Other things I don't like:
- twitter like reposts. they make you feel you subscribed not to the original "reposter" friend, but to "reposted content" that you never subscribed for. the #f2f p2p architecture of #scuttlebot (#scuttlebutt) kinda eliminates that, they don't have nor show reposts. you see there only original posts, original content, of friends you follow. Kinda helps to slow down the mind from informational overflow. You can opt out to see posts of friend's friends, if you want more. Tags are also supported there.
- threads consist only of information aggretator url sharing in reddit like clones. Without having OP OC like in bbs|AgoraRoad , they just silo you to clickbait to other web sites.

@lloydian Love #Sabacc! Our family plays after dinner some nights and while the #CorellianSpike is the variant that seems to be the most popular, (and kinda-sorta played on the #Halcyon #GalacticStarcruiser) I'm slightly partial to the 76-card traditional game but both are super fun. I think the #HyperspaceProps decks & dice are my favorite.

By the way, to add to my #introduction, I'm a big #StarWars fan. And it goes back to my teen years in the 70s. My new interest is in #Sabacc in many variations. But I'm especially fond of the version played on the #GalacticStarcruiser (aka #Halcyon). When I took the cruise (mine was quite eventful, but I'm sure others are more mundane), I came in 2nd place in the on board tournament. I'd love to find others interested in the game.

Leider musste ich feststellen,dass #YouPlay ,die in #Halcyon integrierte #Invidious Alternative der Marke Eigenbau nicht mehr funktioniert.Da diese Funktion bei den Benutzern ziemlich beliebt zu sein scheint (hab schon oefter Rueckmeldungen oder Nachfragen dazu bekommen) sollte das mit dem naechsten Update unbedingt auch behoben werden.Da hat #YouTube sicher mal wieder was an der Verschluesselung geaendert.Diese Spielverderber! 😡

Dass es #Zanata nicht mehr gibt,finde ich wirklich schade.Es war ein sehr guter Service,durch den mir viel bei den #Halcyon Uebersetzungen geholfen wurde.Aber man muss ja immer positiv in die Zukunft schauen und deswegen habe ich meinen letzten freien Tag gleich dazu genutzt,eine eigene #Pootle Instanz unter https://translate.nikisoft.one aufzusetzen,auf der Halcyon jetzt uebersetzt werden kann.Das war alles andere als einfach.Beim einrichten gab es zahlreiche Probleme und es hat Stunden gedauert,bis ich die Ursache fuer die zahlreichen Bugs gefunden hab.Nachdem ich aber gemerkt hab,dass das alles von MariaDB verursacht wird und ich stattdessen PostgreSQL nutzen sollte,funktioniert alles wunderbar.Ich kann die Software auf jeden Fall empfehlen,wird auch noch fleissig weiterentwickelt.Eine oeffentliche Instanz gibts aber nicht,muss man selbst hosten.Den Download gibts hier: http://pootle.translatehouse.org
