It is a beautiful time of day — everything slows down, it gets quieter as people go to camp for dinner.

"Halfway up The Nose of El Capitan is one of the wildest pendulums in existence"--it's called the King Swing! I shot this way back in 2015 with my Sony a6000 (a CMOS sensor camera) and a 70-200mm lens for a 35mm equivalent of 300mm. Still, it's cropped waaay in. The climber's goal is seen in the fourth frame, grabbing onto a crack in the rock face so they may continue their climb up The Nose and to the top.
