  1. #WebGPU, #WebBluetooth, and #WebSockets open up so many possibilities too. I see so many hardware makers shipping web-based configuration tools these days and I'm HERE FOR IT! There's almost nothing the web can't do these days.

I'm also intensely interested in distributed programming with blockchains like #InternetComputerProtocol and #Solana, and distributed hosting with things like #IPFS and #Filecoin.

  5. Here is a small introduction to Zephyr RTOS and #WebBluetooth, where you'll learn how to create a
Bluetooth GATT service in an app, flash it on a Nordic Semiconductor #nRF52840 Dongle and connect to it with your browser. Enjoy :) /cc @reillyeon @kennethrohde @tomayac dev.to/denladeside/getting-sta

  7. So sad that #Mozilla declined implementation of #WebBluetooth, #WebSerial and etc. (mozilla.github.io/standards-po)

I mean, the idea of manipulating serial or BT via webpage is dumb, I agree. But it's already here and in the world of growing variety of embedded platforms the demand will only grow. Ideas of HTTP and Web are abused, that's not good but common in technical evolution.

If I have to use web-flasher and web-BLE-data collectors I'd rather do it the Firefox, than Chromium.

    But here we are

  8. #WebBluetooth and #WebComponents are simple to use, here is how you combine the #NordicSemiconductor #Thingy52 with WebComponents to make a Web Thermometer (with some web enabling help from Spiderman): dev.to/denladeside/creating-a-

  12. Want a sneak peak of my talk at Cluecon next week?

It’s titled “The power of web” (think the power of love song)

The Web is hugely powerful. Definitely come check out my talk next week if you’re in Chicago!

  16. Thanks again to @webdirections for having me on to talk about #WebBluetooth. Thanks to @seeedstudio for making it trivial to get up to speed with the hardware (pictured is the slide for those curious about what I actually used.)

  19. Heck yeah.

Took a lot of trial & errors, but now I can simulate Canon's mobile app instead of the remote controller via Web Bluetooth. Pretty different interfaces, but this one should be much more powerful.

  23. Anyone know if the latest Meta Browser on the #Quest can do #WebBluetooth yet? I've been thinking of building a smartphone-based input system and pairing over Bluetooth seems like it'd be a better UX and lower latency than doing it over WiFi.

Though, I suppose #WebRTC should work. Two devices on the same network should always get a P2P connection, regardless of NAT, right?

    Right?
