It also struck me how socially relevant the lyrics still are for most of #DarkSideOfTheMoon, #Animals and of course #TheWall. I always think of #UsAndThem as an anti-war song, but it's much more panoramic with its commentary on inequality and homelessness too.

It's strange how such vehemently anti-capitalist perspectives were packaged in such a commercial wrapper.

As a teen, I loved the music and knew all the words, but I was too insulated to understand what they were saying.
