Tonight's #XPlane #flightsim mission was hauling a group of #UOregon Ducks fans from Scranton, PA to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl next Friday.
Dispatchers let me slap a Ducks logo on the side of my #Cirrus #SF50 Vision jet so the pax felt at home.

If anyone got to see the #UOregon #GoDucks in the CFP game today, they quite easily took down No. 4 Texas Tech 23 to ZERO. This gets them what appears to be a semi-final game against No. 1 Indiana, which is leading Alabama 24-3 in the Rose Bowl today.
Ducks defense completely stopped Tech's offense (see that ZERO?) with 3 picks and a takeaway.
Oregon's offense did what they had to do. It wasn't an explosive offense, but they moved the ball.
Brandon Finney, Jr. was today's Ducks star.

And speaking of free public transportation (we're we?), I just recently learned I can get a free LTD bus pass because of my age, good for five years and also good on the Autzen Shuttle busses to the #UOregon #GoDucks football games. This will come in handy 11/14 as I have a comped ticket to the Oregon vs. Minnesota game.
Got the pass today, super easy and took less than five minutes.

Just got back from watching the #UOregon #GoDucks beat Wisconsin at Autzen. Went to my friend's and watched on TV.
We made the right call bailing on the live game at the stadium. It was DUMPING rain most of game, winds 20G45 kts, just nasty WX to sit outside in for four hours.
Game itself was a sloshy mess, lots of fumbles, interceptions and general mayhem.
But Ducks got the W because yes, Ducks love water.

My ATC friend who was comping me the #UOregon #GoDucks ticket today and I made the "no-go" decision, and will watch at his place on TV.
Why?
I just had one of the nastiest fronts blow thru my yard, when NEXRAD was just green, no cells present. Took off the top 50' of a dead Doug Fir next door, and blew several 12' limbs into my yard.
Also hundreds of lightning strikes just north of Eugene.
I told him as a pilot, I'd make the "no-go" decision on flying, so we scrubbed the live game. #ORWX

Headed out on an adventure today to watch the #UOregon #GoDucks play #Wisconsin at Autzen Stadium. WX looks positively miserable, heavy rain first half with high winds and possibility of -TS. Second half looks better. Will no doubt be mostly a running game but Ducks do like water.

Good friend of mine (former ATC so yes, lots of yummy "trading paint" stories) is turning me on to a ticket to the #UOregon #GoDucks home game this Saturday against the 2-5 #Wisconsin Badgers, who have been shut out the last two weeks.
Oregon is going with a "Grateful Ducks" theme, an homage to the many times the band played Autzen Stadium. Crowd color scheme is "tye-die" but the only tie-dye I have is a red Lycoming shirt, and the Badgers colors are red.
Going with green and yellow.

If anyone else but me just watched the #UOregon #GoDucks beat Penn State at home in double overtime 30-24, it might be the best college football game I have ever seen. Just a slugfest all the way, but the Ducks never gave up and fought hard to the end, picking off the Lions QB with an INT to end the 2nd OT and win the game.
Makes me want to "shout" OOOOOOOOOO!

@wallacewords Yeah #GoDucks is right. I had seen Hayward Field driving by (usually to get ice cream at Prince Puckler's) and also on TV, but wow, up close it is a phenomenal facility. The Museum (which BTW I did not know even existed) is a must-see for track and field fans. The gigantic wall of trophies makes a clear statement as to the importance of this sport at this school.

This entire wall is all University of Oregon track championship trophies they have won over the years. It is quite a big deal here on campus. #UOregon

The backstory on these luscious James Lavadour abstracts now on display at the #UOregon Jordan Schnitzer Museum is that he does not paint specific scenes. He's done a ton of nature walks and serious hiking, and lets his instincts guide the brush strokes, pulling from his subconscious mind. He does not know where the painting will go when he starts. So the end result can be anything.
Like this one, which appears to me to be a canyon on fire. Kind of on brand for the West every year now.

Eugene's No. 1 #UOregon #GoDucks continue their undefeated run for the season with a nice win over Maryland tonight in always loud Autzen Stadium.
It wasn't the Ducks best work, but they seem to always do what it takes to get the "W". With No. 2 Georgia losing to Ole Miss, and No. 4 Miami losing to Georgia Tech today, the playoff rankings are going to look spectacular for Oregon headed into their last couple of B1G conf. games and into the post-season.
Lotta quack tonight in Eugene.

O.K., I surely cannot be the ONLY #UOregon #GoDucks fan on Mastodon. Right now though it kinda looks that way.
Back when I was on Twitler, those two hashtags would blow up on game day. Now I know that “X" has far more users, but if you dig College Football, and you like this 8-0 No. 1 Oregon team, and you love it here on Mastodon, let’s get these two hashtags going on this platform, at least on game days:

I know there is virtually zero discussion of college football in my feed, so please indulge me since our local #Eugene #UOregon #GoDucks should be ranked #1 tomorrow when the AP poll drops.
After shutting out Purdue on Friday night, they needed Georgia to beat No. 1 Texas today, and the Bulldogs delivered with a 30-15 win.
Before the season, a lot of sports pundits were saying Oregon could go all the way to the ‘Natty.
Seems they are on their way, but there’s a lot of #football left to play.

With this being their first year in the Big 10, apparently the people that live CFB 24/7 must know something about the Ducks. To be ranked above Alabama (#5) is unbelievable.

I do not follow the inner workings of the Pac-12 conference, but I do know several schools including the @Goducks at #UOregon are headed to the Big 10 after this coming season.
Now I read this:
"Stanford and California’s departure (to the ACC) from the Pac-12 leaves the 108-year-old conference with just two remaining members – Oregon State and Washington State.”
So is it now going to be called the Pac-2?

As a casual #OregonDucks fan (I’m a #UOregon alum), I guess I need to learn more about the #BigTen.
(Shouldn’t be too hard, given I live in #Minnesota now.)
