    Trump amenaza con una mayor fuerza militar contra Irán si no hay acuerdo y tras un cruce de fuego en Ormuz

    Washington.- El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, acusó este jueves a Irán de atacar sin éxito a tres buques norteamericanos en el estrecho de Ormuz, aseguró que sus fuerza armadas destruyeron misiles iraníes y a su vez amenazó con recurrir a «más fuerza» y «más violencia» si Teherán no firma un acuerdo de paz pronto.

    «Tres destructores estadounidenses de primera clase acaban de cruzar con éxito el estrecho de Ormuz, bajo fuego enemigo (…) Se lanzaron misiles contra nuestros buques pero fueron derribados con facilidad», dijo Trump en su cuenta oficial de Truth Social.

    «Los derrotaremos con mucha más fuerza y violencia en el futuro si no firman su acuerdo ¡rápido!», sentenció el mandatario.

    La reacción de Trump surge luego de un intercambio de ataques, que -de acuerdo con la versión del Comando Central estadounidense- se derivó del intento de Irán por golpear los buques USS Truxtun (DDG 103), USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) y USS Mason (DDG 87) que se encargan del bloqueo naval impuesto por Washington contra la república Islámica.

    Trump se refirió a la destrucción de los misiles iraníes con ironía al decir que: «cayeron al océano con una belleza singular, como una mariposa que se posa en su tumba».

    EE.UU. afirma haber destruido centros de mando de Irán

    Más temprano, el Comando Central de Estados Unidos aseguró que atacó centros de «mando y control» e instalaciones militares iraníes después de que fuerzas de Irán lanzaran misiles, drones y embarcaciones rápidas contra destructores estadounidenses que transitaban el estrecho de Ormuz.

    Según el comunicado del Comando Central, las fuerzas iraníes lanzaron «múltiples misiles, drones y pequeñas embarcaciones» contra los destructores USS Truxtun, USS Rafael Peralta y USS Mason mientras atravesaban la vía marítima internacional que conecta el estrecho de Ormuz con el golfo de Omán.

    El comando afirmó que «no busca una escalada», aunque advirtió que permanece preparado para proteger a las fuerzas estadounidenses en la región.

    Una violación al alto el fuego en Ormuz, según Irán

    De acuerdo con la cadena Fox News, altos mandos militares habrían confirmado que los ataques estadounidenses se habrían registrado en el puerto iraní de Qeshm y Bandar Abbas, así como en el puesto de control naval de Bandar Kargan, en Minab.

    Por su parte, Irán difundió un comunicado en los medios estatales en el que alegó que el ejército estadounidense violó el alto al fuego al realizar ataques contra Bandar Jamir, Sirik y la isla de Qeshm, al sur de la república islámica.

    En un comunicado recogido por la agencia Tasnim, portavoces del Cuartel Central General Jatam al Anbiya informaron que el ataque se produjo contra un petrolero iraní que se alejaba de la costa de la república islámica para dirigirse hacia el estrecho de Ormuz en las aguas de la región de Jask, y contra otro barco que precisamente estaba atravesando el estrecho cerca del puerto de Fuyaira en Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU).

    El Ejército de Irán «respondió inmediatamente atacando embarcaciones militares de EE.UU. en la zona del este del estrecho de Ormuz y al sur del puerto de Chabahar, generando daños significativos», agregó el comunicado.

    En un mensaje posterior, la Guardia Revolucionaria iraní describió su respuesta a la «violación del alto el fuego» como una «operación amplia y precisa» que implicó el desplazamiento de destructores al estrecho, así como el uso de misiles balísticos y drones con múltiples ojivas.

    Trump dice que siguen negociando

    Los nuevos ataques suceden luego de semanas de un alto el fuego decretado el 8 de abril unilateralmente por Trump, a la espera de concretar un acuerdo de paz con Teherán.

    El día previo a los ataques registrados hoy, el mandatario había asegurado que veía «muy posible» que se concretara un acuerdo de paz.

    Trump aseguró -a periodistas en la Casa Blanca- que luego del intercambio de fuego hoy en Ormuz se encuentran negociando un acuerdo con Irán. –sn–
