Teherán.- El presidente de EU, Donald Trump, criticó este lunes la actitud «hipócrita» de Irán por su negativa a confirmar que se encuentran en negociaciones de paz con Washington y amenazó con mantener el bloqueo naval a las costas iraníes «hasta que no se alcance un acuerdo o una rendición total».
«¡La actitud del liderazgo iraní es increíblemente hipócrita! Piden una reunión, algunos dirían que ‘suplican’, comienzan las conversaciones y se programan otras para el futuro inmediato; sin embargo, declaran abiertamente y con orgullo que no están negociando nada, que no se está discutiendo nada y que solo tratan con Omán», escribió en su red Truth Social.
Trump advirtió que Teherán vuelve a recurrir «a su retórica habitual afirmando que ellos controlarán con mano firme el estrecho de Ormuz, cuando en realidad este ya está bajo el control absoluto de la Marina de EE.UU.», aseguró.
«Nada llega a Irán a menos que nosotros lo permitamos, y nada pasará a menos que se alcance un acuerdo o se produzca una rendición total. Tanto si Irán quiere admitirlo como si no, lo cierto es que estamos hablando de una solución a un problema que ellos mismos han provocado durante décadas», agregó.
El presidente estadounidense reiteró su promesa de que «¡Irán jamás tendrá un arma nuclear!».
Trump advierte a Irán que tiene una «última oportunidad»
Más tarde, en otras declaraciones, Trump advirtió que las actuales negociaciones que asegura se están produciendo con Irán son la «última oportunidad» que tiene Teherán para firmar un «buen» acuerdo que ponga fin a la guerra.
«Estamos dialogando y lo hacemos a petición de Irán, con el respaldo de Arabia Saudí, Emiratos Árabes Unidos y Catar, además de otros países (…) Todos querían dar una última oportunidad a este proceso. Es una última oportunidad. Es la última ocasión que tiene (Irán) para firmar un buen documento», dijo Trump.
En conversación con periodistas en el Despacho Oval, el mandatario insistió en que «si esto no sucede, no habrá más oportunidades».
El republicano reiteró a la prensa en la Casa Blanca que las conversaciones están teniendo lugar a petición de Teherán, que «no quería sufrir un ataque, por lo que manifestó su deseo de dialogar».
«Queremos hablar sobre el estrecho pero, desde mi punto de vista, y esto es lo más importante, queremos hablar sobre la desnuclearización de Irán», añadió.
Trump detalló que la primera fase de las conversaciones «consiste en la apertura del estrecho (de Ormuz). La segunda fase será la desnuclearización, lo cual llevará algún tiempo. Pero nos mantenemos firmes en este punto: no pueden tener armas nucleares», repitió.
Irán niega las negociaciones con EU
Trump anunció la víspera que Estados Unidos e Irán reiniciarían hoy unas negociaciones de paz que permanecen estancadas en medio de la reciente escalada en la guerra, que ya cumplió cinco meses sin visos claros de un acuerdo que cumpla con los términos de ambas partes.
Según el republicano, Arabia Saudí, Emiratos Árabes Unidos y Catar le pidieron suspender las incursiones ante la posibilidad de llegar a un pacto con los iraníes.
También aseguró que el propio Irán le pidió parar el ataque previsto, el cual calificó como «el más grande desde la Segunda Guerra Mundial».
Sin embargo, el portavoz del Ministerio iraní de Exteriores, Ismail Bagaei, aseguró este lunes que la República Islámica actualmente no mantiene negociaciones con Estados Unidos y afirmó que las cuestiones relacionadas con Washington se analizarán y decidirán en función de los acontecimientos futuros.
Bagaei insistió en que cualquier avance sobre los asuntos relacionados con Estados Unidos dependerá de la evolución de la situación, horas después de que Trump afirmara que había cancelado un «ataque masivo» contra Irán y que este lunes se reanudarían las conversaciones con Teherán con el objetivo de alcanzar un acuerdo.
El portavoz de la diplomacia iraní indicó que, por ahora, su país mantiene conversaciones con Omán, centradas en alcanzar un acuerdo sobre una vía que garantice el tránsito seguro de la navegación por el estrecho de Ormuz, por donde antes del conflicto pasaba el 20 % del crudo mundial.
«Estas negociaciones son bilaterales entre dos Estados ribereños. Otros pueden desempeñar un papel constructivo o destructivo en este proceso, pero el asunto corresponde a Irán y Omán», afirmó.
Mecanismo de seguridad regional
Por otra parte, el ministro interino de Defensa de Irán, Mayid Ibn al-Reza, subrayó este lunes la necesidad de crear un mecanismo de seguridad conjunto entre los países islámicos y afirmó que la presencia de fuerzas extrarregionales es un factor de inseguridad, en un contexto de ataques iraníes contra bases de Estados Unidos en los países de Oriente Medio.
«La reciente guerra demostró que la seguridad regional debe ser garantizada por los propios países de la región y que la presencia de fuerzas extranjeras no solo no aporta seguridad, sino que incrementa la desconfianza, la incertidumbre y la inseguridad», afirmó el alto cargo castrense durante una conversación telefónica con el ministro turco de Defensa, Yaşar Güler, recogida por la agencia IRNA.
Ibn al-Reza reiteró la propuesta iraní de crear una alianza de seguridad integrada por países como Irán, Turquía, Pakistán, Arabia Saudí y Egipto, entre otros Estados musulmanes. –sn–
