If someone ever starts a #StarTrek themed #gym, it should be off-grid. It should have #treadmills , weight-lifting & stretching machines connected to dynamos, that harvest human #energy. The gym should be net energy positive, not a sink on the grid.

according to the colbert show, room-sized #treadmills are now becoming a thing in offices. I know the word "dystopian" gets thrown around a lot these days, but I gotta say, this seems #dystopian AF. God forbid we ever put #capitalism at risk of pausing even for a quick lunch break to go for a real walk.

gives me memories of walking around our ugly office building through the parking lot without a tree in sight while I was stuck going insane with boredom at a data entry job, though. having no decent place to take a break at to maximize profit-making work space is another disgusting aspect of capitalism.

It’s actually starting to feel a bit like #Spring here in the #Midwest. Looking forward to some #outdoor #running again!

#Treadmills are good to fill in the gaps, but always leave me feeling like I’m putting forth a lot of effort to not go anywhere.
