  1. The small railcars go to #Eberswalde and #KönigsWusterhausen. Sort of a Brandenburg #circleline avoiding Berlin.

The new red train is for #DoberlugKirchhain. It crosses all the industrial areas linked to coal and steel industry like #Eisenhüttenstadt and #Cottbus.

  2. Back to the station! Another 45min to go. Wonder what you can do with that Steam Loco #Dampflok. Will it be my #Train2Tatra ?

Also curious about the rolling stock of the regional service to #ZielonaGora. Maybe I'll catch a glimpse of it. Overall some #CrossBorderRail activity thanks to the many EuroCity services to Warsaw, Gdansk, Przemysl and Krakow.

#Slubice is however not well connected to rail. I wonder why there's no tram over the bridge like in Strasbourg or Basel...

  3. Poland is on the other side of the river, with the town of #Slubice. Locals say it's actually one city on both sides of the river called #Slubfurt. Cute ;-)

  4. #Erkner. Famous for a big #SBahn atelier. Many people with luggage walking to the RE1... I'm not the only one trying to reach Poland today.

  5. Complex changeover in #Berlin
    - train is 30min late due to #Stendal traffic jam
    - no S-Bahn in city center
    - #RE1 to #Frankfurt(Oder) only from Erkner
    - it's #CSDBerlin #BerlinPride
    - 1. FC Union is playing in Alte Försterei on S3

But the challenge was overcome with a spontaneous change in #Spandau to a delayed replacement ICE, that took me to #Ostbahnhof, now on the S3 to #Erkner where the #RE1 is waiting.

  6. I paid 0,00€ for this trip in 1st Class from #BaselBadBf to #Frankfurt(Oder) by the border to Poland. I used 1500 #BahnBonus points. Basel Badischer Bahnhof, although on Swiss territory, is managed by Deutsche Bahn and integrated in the national German fare system. Therefore you can book a (German) national #BahnBonus reward ticket without the international option which would be 500 points more. So kinda crossing Germany for free 😁☝️
