Wir haben mit großzügigen Umsteigezeiten gebucht, daher haben wir am 1. Stopp in Straßburg Zeit für Kaffee und einen kurzen Besuch im Münster.

Cool, bei #entur kann ich für Zugfahrten in Norwegen inzwischen auch #interrail als Rabattkarte angeben und damit direkt buchen. Das ging bisher dort nur telefonisch oder per Chat (war auch schon total unkompliziert, schnell und nett).

When making reservations with #raileurope they only gave me second class from Paris in direction Barcelona without letting me decide and didn’t react on my questions 👎
In #Portbou I noticed that the time tables of the #RailPlanner app / #DB and #renfe were not the same 🤯 So there are rails (👍) but planning seems hard 👎 cc: @jon
Thus I unfolded my #brompton and had some extra time a la playa 👍

Impressions of #lille : Saturday nights are as vibrant and chaotic as Sauchiehall St in Glasgow. Beautiful Flemish architecture. Lots of runners. Lots of homelessness. The station is better organised than lots of British stations.

TIL: Mit der "TGV INOUI PRO"-App kann man Reservierungen, die bei Rail Europe gekauft wurden und sonst nicht bei :sncf_connect: CONNECT digitalisiert werden konnten, trotzdem digitalisiert werden.
Danach kann man die Reservierung sogar in die gängigen Wallets werfen und auch direkt in der App umtauschen/stornieren, ohne, dass man einen französischen Fahrkartenautomaten braucht 🤯
Des weiteren kann der Sitzplatz über eine grafische Sitzplatzwahl ausgesucht werden 😲😲😲
Nachteil: die App kann nur französisch (oder ich bin der Sprache nicht genug mächtig, um die Einstellung zu finden) und man braucht ein SNCF-Konto (oder ich bin der Sprache nicht genug mächtig, um das zu überspringen)

Instead of train to Odense and a replacement bus to hamburg, I'll be doing some breathtaking train-bus-surfing and will arrive in Hamburg a bit before 01, if everything goes well. "Well". Well, anyway, I got to know the Hyllie station pretty thoroughly, and there's a stylish water tower beside it.

Well, it was good idea to leave Malmö a tad early, since there are delays with Öresundståg, the latest being "people running around in the railway area, no idea when they'll stop".

Back in good ol' 525, that doesn't even pretend to reach Copenhagen anymore. I'm happy I didn't schedule the earlier train to Malmö, since Viking Line was some 15 minutes late in Stockholm, and I would have missed it.
But more importantly: my #travelsocks.

The changes also include the withdrawal of the #Barcelona <> #Salamanca 632-633 train portion. Therefore, Alvia 621-622 will no longer be split in Miranda and run with a single Series 130 set for the entire journey.
However, a new IC 632-633 #Zaragoza 🇪🇸 <> Salamanca will be introduced with two completely new train paths departing 5h earlier from Salamanca/later from Zaragoza.
It will be operated with a Series 121 train set instead (no Elige Confort seats). (2/2)

In Stuttgart area, there were first class departments in an S-Bahn. I've never seen / noticed that before. It wasn't much, basically just a see-through wall and a door secluding a few seats, but of course I had to sit there.

After three breakfasts I really shouldn't complain, but still I do: Saturday is the worst day of train travel in Sweden and Denmark freestuff-wise: almost all the first class lounges are closed. Luckily, Aarhus lounge is open on Sundays as well, so I get to experience that tomorrow.
Edit: no, I won't, I'll be commuting in a local bus and not using an interrail day. Bummer.

First leg of my interrail is not technically interrail, but a bus from Oulu to Haparanda, Sweden, paid without any concession. Feels weird to start the trip south by traveling northwards.
The Finnish ticket shop Matkahuolto insists on using Finnish time everywhere, so according to timetable I’ll be arriving 13:05, instead of the actual 12:05. Also SJ sometimes shows timetables in user’s local time, making that, too an hour off. Annoying and unpractical.

So far I didn’t receive a mail from #eurail. Lately I bought all my #interrail passes at #Allaboard. Might that be a difference? Is anyone here with an Allaboard pass affected by the #security incident?

Es laufen die letzten Stunden, in denen es die #interrail Pässe noch um 1/4 günstiger gibt.
Ich habe mir 2*mal Familienurlaub gesichert, weiss nur noch nicht, wohin es gehen wird. :blobcatSip:
Und wenn sich doch nichts findet, die Pässe können gegen eine Gebühr von 10% zurückgegeben werden.
