Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi – “A Hidden Weapon” | TV Review
I finally got around to seeing the second episode of Star Wars Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi, and it was great. I’m liking the start to the series so far.
Margrave Juro, Lah Kara, and Homen continue to venture throughout the galaxy to recruit people to their side. For the second straight episode, they go to see more of Juro’s former Jedi pals. This time, however, they get better news than the last time.
The crew travels to Bibin in an effort to recruit Kwana and the miners. Everything that happened on the asteroid ship reminded me of J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth and the miners were the dwarves. The entire time they were on screen, my brain was just picturing Gimli from The Lord of the Rings and Durin from Rings of Power. This was a great bit!
In the end, the big weapon being developed by Nawaam is some type of Death Star/Starkiller Base. It’s kind of disappointing that it’s not a little more creative than that, but it’s not the end of the world. Visions as a whole has always repurposed things from Star Wars for their purposes.
I can’t wait to see how this story continues to develop.
