  1. Teslagrad 2 (2023)

  2. Finally found some time to write about #RainGames' #WorldToTheWest.

TL;DR I liked it. Its graphics may not be as beautiful as the hand-painted #Teslagrad backgrounds, and the gameplay is a bit simplistic at times, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Would have liked it better if the #Italian #translation wasn't so poorly done though (possibly machine-translated?)

  3. @fluffypaws OK I'm not entirely sure, because it has been a while, but I think the last show I watched was #PsychoPass. And I've been playing the #Teslagrad series (completed Teslagrad and #WorldToTheWest, now playing #Teslagrad2). That's going to be interesting.

  4. So yeah, even if I added my entire Fediverse posting and commenting history to the Wok I wouldn't budge the current size enough that adding a multi-megabyte screenshot would keep the current balance.

So, no screenshot for the time being. (That's OK, you can find screenshots and videos of the beautiful #Teslagrad graphics everywhere on the net.)

  5. Fun fact: at 134KB, that image is only the third-largest file in the repository (yes, there are two *text* files that are larger than that; yes, I can be a heavy writer), and even lower in rank when considering the *rendered* pages due to how my category and home pages are built. So an image of that size is still … acceptable.

And here we come at the issue with my #Teslagrad review. One of the strong points of the game is its beautiful #art, and showing it would be best.

  6. So, my recent review of #Teslagrad
(“Official” discussion thread: sociale.network/@oblomov/11147) has me facing an existential dilemma about my website.
Since its inception, I've endeavored to make it as lightweight as possible, or at least to maximize its “content to weight” ratio: until recently, posts were almost exclusively text-only, except for the sporadic self-hosted and often self-written vector graphic.

  7. My short and probably uninteresting #review of #Teslagrad

#TLDR 5/7, lovely game but I'm too old for this shit.

(“This shit” being some of the more platformer-y parts of this puzzle-platformer.)
