  1. Thanks for this link to the Charlie Chaplin film. The reference is unmistakable.

People who do not know it, should first see the cartoon by Anne Telnaes, and then watch the video clip.

  2. Ann #Telnaes winning the #Pulitzer prize gives me some hope that not all of the #media have surrendered to #Trump.

For months, I was surprised how the famous US fourth estate was collapsing to the wannabe king. I saw that as a sign of how close the USA is to Hitler around 1937/1938.

But this gives me hope that the collapse is not total yet. That there is #resistance and that there might still be #elections in 2026 that are accessible for all

  3. From talented #political #cartoonist Ann #Telnaes: A cartoon showing Trump saying, "Sometimes you have to take medicine to fix something," while holding a bottle bearing a skull-and-crossbones emblem and a list of side effects." substack.com/home/post/p-16080

  4. #WashingtonPost’s #Pulitzer prize-winning editorial #cartoonist Ann #Telnaes resigned from the newspaper after its refusal to publish a #satirical cartoon depicting the outlet’s owner, Jeff #Bezos – along with other media and technology barons – kneeling before Donald #Trump as he gears up for his second US presidency

I’ve never had a cartoon killed because of who or what I chose to aim my pen at

  5. Ann Telnaes‘ cartoon of Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman, Patrick Soon-Shiong (publisher of the LA Times), and the Disney company supplicating to TFG, which she says was killed by Washington Post editors due to its message. Spread it far and wide.

  6. @CindyWeinstein And I bet that the other side of that cartoon by Ann Telnaes would also not be welcome in certain places, either. Too bad WaPo killed running her final with these two parts, right? Be a shame if it became very well known. 2/2
