Why the Big Difference? Think of it like this:
a. Old Habits: Many years ago, fewer girls were encouraged to learn about computers and coding. This started a trend that made it seem like a "boy's club"
b. School Choices: Even today, more boys than girls choose to study computer science in college
c. What We See: If you don't see many women doing something, it can be harder to imagine yourself doing it too
The Good News: Lots of smart people and companies are working hard to change this! They want everyone to feel welcome and excited about all parts of tech. They ensure more girls get interested early and that workplaces are super welcoming.
