Don't get me started on how #Acquia is telling people to add a line to their htaccess file that uses mod_deflate without actually checking that the module is enabled, so if the site is moved to an environment running apache without it enabled, it will just whitescreen.

Is there really no way to tell on #acquia that a deployment happened and the latest commits are on an environment, without staring at the alert button and waiting for the spinning circle to appear for a few seconds before it finishes with no record that something happened? Why does the Activity Feed only contain database backups?

A colleague took an #Acquia exam this week. So many problems! As usual, he had to ditch his #Linux workstation to use a Windows PC. Bugs caused the exam to restart three times, he lost all his work. Software gave the test supervisor complete control of the machine! They opened Photoshop by accident (it could've contained something deeply personal). They also made him switch browser, which meant he had to reveal a password to them so he could copy it over. Just an utter shit show. #fail #drupal

I've been playing with #Acquia Cloud IDE, which seems to basically be a SaaS version of VS Studio optimized for #Drupal and #PHP. Anyone tried it?
I think it's pretty impressive, but can't really identify what the ideal use is. I have a very complex site setup on it and the automated setup doesn't handle it well. It's precisely for such a complex site that I would want to remove the local machine as a failure point for onboarding a new team member.
The other scenario I can see is if you have people with underpowered computers, but the Cloud IDE seems to be ideal for a fairly typical Drupal installation, which should run acceptably even on somewhat dated equipment.
So what's the ideal use case? The only one I can think of is that if I were ever called up for an emergency and I didn't have my laptop, I could fire up the IDE from a tablet and do some urgent intervention.
That's a pretty nice use case for me, but it doesn't make me confident that this product has a strong future.

i had surprising success updating two #drupal 8 sites + themes to the latest 9.5.10 (one still needed the #acquia lightning guts removed and entrails tidied up). I didn't get a chance to document much of the fun w/ #composer since i really needed to be in the zone to get things right, but here's a couple #glitch art desktop wallpapers based on screenshots of all the composer errors i had to blaze through :]
