  1. Years ago I made this simple tool for writing my daily stand-up easier. Last week I rewrote the app in SwiftUI (it used AppKit). Let me know your thoughts.

  3. I have to do a large update for a client’s app that is Windows/C# based. Normally I don’t care for this work but with the current state of all things #Swift / #SwifUI I am welcoming the break for a bit.

Very mixed feelings. I keep saying this but Apple dev used to be enjoyable. Really.

  5. I need some help in my little #SwifUI #poc #app for #macOS and #iOS: it currently just creates lists that I want to 1. sync via #iCloud #CloudKit and 2. share via #iCloud.
I am already able to create a `CKShare` and its iCloud-sharing-url, but accepting the invitation seems like a tough nut.
Was consulting lots of materials, but it does not click for me … The sending of hints to/links of good #tutorials/posts etc. on this this would be highly appreciated!!
Boosts are also very welcome :-)

  9. It’s not perfect, but working on adding context menus to my app Greeting Keeper. Still trying to figure out a few things. #greetingkeeper

  11. Been thinking about this for a while, has anyone written about it?

I'm looking for information on how to cache calculations and do cache invalidations with SwiftUI.

For example, how do I make sure that my list is sorted each time something underlying it changes, but not sorted every time the view is refreshed? #SwifUI

  13. Swift is centered on perfectionism, not pragmatism. I worry about race conditions and “macros” that are slapped on with SillyPutty™. Swift may be fine for grad post-docs. For someone who wants to get something to run, its’s painful now

  15. Alas, #swifUI LazyVGrid performance for large number of items is still really bad.

  16. Who would like to discuss some Swift/SwiftUI Code with me? I am trying to use a NavigationStack as a replacement to a UINavigationController

  18. Hm. The new inspector in SwiftUI works weird on the iPad mini. Wonder if it’s me. It looks ok on a normal iPad.

  24. Still figuring out best video settings here...

Anyway, I made a little SwiftUI app to chat with AI about the book "A Pattern Language", using OpenAI embeddings.

Relevant passages of the book are fetched and used as part of the prompt when responding to me/user.

This allows for a natural conversation anchored in the actual book – so, theoretically less 'hallucinations' from AI (varying with 'temp').

  26. @andreagrandi @thull @icecubesapp I’m using #SwifUI, entierly different technologies here. Asking Ivory would not help anything. I didn’t had time to sit down and do serious optimisations yet.

  28. Carnival barker mode on for our first day of our zero to full stack university course in #SwifUI. I baked Lunar New Year cookies in a rabbit shape. Press a button for a greeting in: Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or English. Full class of 50 this semester. Employers, I’ve got your talent. #BCSwift #BuiltWithProfG Oh, and if you want to build your own box, here is a guide instructables.com/Build-a-Luna
